My husband's grandmother quilts. When she cleaned out her house before moving into a smaller cottage, she found a brand new pair of quilting sheers, never out of the packaging. She called me in from the other room, and presented them to say, "I know you don't sew, but good teachers need good scissors for projects." I absolutely love them for cutting out intricate items.
This is so funny! I just posted a "what's in my teacher bag" video today as well!!! I'm like you - I travel light and my handbag has my purse, phone, keys and a pen. That's it. And it fits inside my teacher bag, which reduces all the things I was juggling between the car and my classroom/house. Thanks for sharing. It's so fascinating to me, what other people keep in their bags.

I just excepted a position to be a teachers assistant in a deaf resource room at an elementary school. I wasn’t sure if I need a teachers bag or what do you even put in it. So my mom thought it was a good idea if I go ahead and get a teachers bag. So she found a tote bag we both liked on Pinterest. So she is going to have my grandma make it for me and I found a really cute pencil pouch on Pinterest too that says teach on it and the letters of the word teach are made out of different office supplies and my grandma is going to try to make that too for me. So far I plan to put in mine: My iPad Pencil pouch Wallet Folder Notebook Planner Not sure what else.
