Thanks for shining a light on this one, Jim. I'm not really into Irish, not really into sherried whiskies (anymore) and not really into blended either.... so ...er... curious about the next one. Slàinte mhath
This one is on my whiskey face-off for Friday night. McConnell's Sherry Cask Vs Bushmills Black Bush. I'll keep another look out for similarities! Have a signed bottle of this after purchasing from the WNN himself in the Friend at Hand a few months back. Cheers Jim. P.s. I was at a tour of a local, recently opened distillery when the "I don't like Scottish whisky" chat came up. I find that bizarre myself.
Hi Jim, speaking of sourced Irish sherried whiskey have you tried Hyde No 7 a sourced Irish whiskey matured in olorosso casks ? Think its sourced from west cork distillery and then Hyde whiskey do a finish, I think anyway 🤔Good review Jim, nice one.🥃
Sounds like those Oloroso sherry casks have really done their job there Jim. I love the tasting notes - it certainly appears to deliver for such a young blend. Great review as always.....slainte! 😃 🥃.
Great review: just got it today. . . very dark Oloroso as stated on the back label, perhaps FIRST FILL olo/ + darker shades of PX . i LOVE that sweetness, will tuck away a few, hence.

Suddenly, I wonder why I haven’t acquired this one yet having enjoyed the few drams I’ve had?
And what an alternative too!
Cheers mucker🥃

Solid Sherry cask here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, young, but tasty. Cheers!
