The more I observe Jim Harbaugh, the more I appreciate his sincerity, his commitment, and his uniqueness as a coach and as a person. I was the Sports Editor of the U of M student newspaper, The Michigan Daily, in 1969, Coach Schembechler’s impressive first year at Michigan. Jim has the same fierce determination to win “the right way” as did Bo. They both always knew there are no short cuts to winning, that consistent, unified hard work by the entire team is the key. The Chargers have a real chance to win a SuperBowl if they follow that formula.

That is why when people accuse him of cheating it makes Michigan fans mad because we know better. That is not the Michigan way

@@meshellglenn812So true… and exactly why no Harbaugh will ever be a Raider where “if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying” is their mantra.

Jim really opens up in this interview, as he does when he feels wanted and respected. Many times in the past he’s given awkward interviews but it’s awesome to see Jim in such a great place in the last few years. Never been a fan of the Chargers but I’m certainly putting them as my no 3 sports teams after the wolverines and Lions. Go Bolts!

I grew up in Upper Sandusky and ,yes, I know Crestline. Although he has passed, John DePetro was a really good friend of mine. He talked about Mike, Jack, and Tank all of the time. In fact, I met your dad when he was scouting Upper Sandusky for football. Think that he was at Calvert. This podcast was so fun to listen to.

Love the pod coach Mark. Jim exemplifies toughness and I’m so excited to see him coach my Chargers. One tip regarding timestamps, the first one always has to be 0:00 for them to show up as chapters in the video. Cheers!
