I called myself Emma too. I didn't like my real name so I changed it in 2nd Grade. I would write my name on the tests and when the results came my dad was like. "Why did you steal Emma's paper ?!" XD it's been so long now that I'm in my last year of middle school

I hate the term "real name" when in the conversation it means birthname, not legal name. I hated my birthname and I still do, and if someone were to tell me that my current, legal name, that I use daily and in official business, is not my real name or that my old name is my real name, I wouldn't be hapoy. There is always a reason why someone might change their name legally, and saying that their birthname is the real one, is kinda disrespectful. Not mad or triggered, just putting my opinion out there.
