I had Sgt Vaters when I did BMQ. Truly was a fuckin beauty, he received a medal from the USA during our grad parade after he was attached with an American unit in Afghanistan. I personally think we had some of the best instructors possible and forever am thankful for them. On year 11 of my career and still loving it.
Back in BMOQ, my platoon had dustyn, dustyn grew bigger than a baseball in an a large envelope and had to be carried around with the 2IC. Dustyn made in to farnham, pre vimy and passed vimy and graduated with us. To this day dustyn is framed in the last 2IC’s house
I joined at 38 and there was this man who was 52 on my platoon. This man was tough as nails. We had this thing called the Warrior Challenge and this 52 year old man beat me. You're never too old to join. My advice, just don't quit. Even when it gets tough. You can do it. Edit: I'm 39 right now.
@@kevinpatrickcarey3741 I would still talk to a recruiter if you're interested. You may be stronger than you think. You have nothing to lose and you'll be part of the biggest family in Canada. Good luck.
i just have a question, why are the sergeants so nice and calm, i thought they'd be right up to your face and screaming, throwing stuff around. They're too nice, idk if i should cringe at this. A bit too nice in my opinion. If I was a recruit, i would prefer them yelling at my face rather than just talking, you know like the marines and no i dont want to be in the us armed forces and rather the canadian ones. just cant get used to the niceties but are they just doing it for the camera to ease people
Remember, this is basic training. In those platoons you don't have just combat arms, you have various trades from all 3 elements. They should do a doc about battle school, or where the infantry, cavalry, artillery, and field engineers go for their 3's. I'll think you'll find that would be what you're thinking of.

@Google Boi what do you want?
That dust bunny thing was pretty funny.
Oh man the dust bunny brings back memories. Knew a guy who was known as the dust bunny rancher when I went through😅🤣
Considering it's cleaned every day it's surprising how there's even any dust at all
Buddy had to carry his dust bunny around from his 2nd inspection up until grad😭 I graduated in march
@insanellama4340 FYI use your additional blanket to wipe everything up
I am a Royal Canadian (1RCR) and the F Bombs that Mcpl Vaters (2RCR) was dropping while he was doing pushups with them made me feel homesick!
This is the best cringe material. From that cheesy intro to the "commanders" throwing temper tantrums, I just can't stop laughing 😆
It was made in 2006 what do you expect 😂
They’re supposed to get mad at nothing. That’s their job
The feeling when the person before you gets jacked up and you know you have it set up the same way
😆

49 joining the forces...RESPECT! im 48 and considering it

41 and retired! Loving it
In narrow hallways I often embarrassed the Male Instructors by having a well developed "Front Bumper System"... LMAO !!
No way 😂 did they comment on it?
I like Season 1 better
7:37 was that a mouse on the door behind him? Or a really big bug? :
Light from the rising elevator off frame reflected on the glossy finish of the door opposite
Remember on course people left there weapon unattended and 7 rifles got taken. Things were not good for the rest of the course
I love Mcpl Vaters. Fuckin’ fuckin’ fuckin’. 😅😅😅
MY FAV PART 9:44
Where is the military museum
Canadian War Museum in Ottawa
So do they do bmq with mask nowadays
yes
For first 2 weeks.
We actually need to isolate for the first two weeks
@Pte Bloggins I was there in 2008 and everything you said was so accurate I'm dying of laughter.
@@xavierlandriault7 Do you have to wear them after isolation? If so, that sounds more brutal than the exercise. It's almost discouraging.
I feel safer knowing we are paying tax $ to keep those dangerous stray threads in their place 😁
Would you rather have military recruits who don’t learn to pay attention to detail

Maybe if the yanks did it differently they’d be as effective as Canadian troops.
It's a watered down version for TV to encourage people to enlist
You never served a day in your life, have you?
