You’ve made such an amazing game! Honestly, it’s become my favorite! Thank you for making such an incredible masterpiece! Everything; the story, music, even cover art (the Japanese version being the one I have) is stunningly well done! I can’t recommend this game enough!
"It's dangerous to grow alone." That understanding eye roll with a smile is totally the mood there, it's an eye roller but also kind of cute haha. That tax evasion game looks totally fun!!
@@forcedanonymity2500 agreed. I liked a good many things about it. Ultimately disappointed though. Beautiful game. But alas, much like my wife, looks aren't the problem. Bazing!
So good to see devs care enough about their games to fix them when broken - and not just care about making a quick buck. Kudos to the devs of Monster Harvest.
and its always the small dev teams. the big guys most of the time dont even care about their games. Bug fixing doesnt generate as much money as new content.
Yeah good they fixed it, but really, they just shouldn't have pushed it in that early state. Barely anyone gets seriously upset, when you delay your game by a Month or two; or even longer. They however, they released the game pretty much in a Beta build. That will kinda piss off people. I don't want to play a game, that's broken AF. It's frustrating. And I bet, anyone who played it at release would have been more then happy to wait for Release a little longer and get spared off that dreadful experience. Bugfixing isn't something noble, it's expected. Don't release broken games, and if you find game breaking glitches later, patch them. Tough the Indie Scene is full of devs, who really care about their games and want to create Art. For example, the Messenger is a fantastic 2D Plattform/ Sidescroller, that wasn't broken and they later released a DLC with ~2-3 hours of additional content - for free. Or look at Stardew Valley. The game was completely working at release and was complete, but it regulary recieved Updates adding a Ton of new content.
@@sagichdirdochnicht4653 Pretty sure they were at the mercy of their publisher... because they were doing physical release they had to set a final release date for the game and meet that deadline. Unfortunately the game didn't get quite the bug testing/polish it needed by then... so they had little choice. It's not super easy to just like... push the planned date back several months when they have already guaranteed the game on X date to the major platform's digital services, to physical stores, etc. If it was purely a PC release on Steam only... I can understand why it wouldn't be as hard to delay but it's much harder on consoles.
I remember when Monomals came out on Apple Arcade last year. I played a little bit of it and thought, “why aren’t more people talking about this?” And then I remembered it’s because hardly anyone plays Apple Arcade games haha. Glad it’s making its way to Switch!
I'm genuinely happy about the monster harvest fix, when I saw the "do not buy this switch game" video I was curious to see if they would actually fix it or let it die. Now that they made the game playable I will definitely give it a try
These videos were what got me into your channel. 3 years ago I was checking TH-cam for eShop games worth getting. It was your channel that was the first on the list, so these videos will always be some of my favorite content. I actually get excited when I seen you've made a new one. Okay it's safe to say you're my favorite TH-camr, sorry RGT, you'll have to deal with being number 2.
Bought road 96 back in December after watching this video and it’s one of my favourite games!! It’s seriously gorgeous, the music is incredible the story has so many emotional moments and in general it’s just genuinely fantastic.
Likewise. I checked the devs' page so many times to see if they had any news about a release date, pre ordered and fell in love with the overall depth of the game and those gorgeous visuals. I need to play it so much more though, haven't gotten enough time to do a deep dive into it.
Eastward really was a great game! The guy who composed the music is the same guy that did the music for Unfinished Swan, Death Stranding and the upcoming Halo Infinite!
You might have covered this already, but I just found out about Evoland Legendary Edition. For $5 you get two games. The first game you start out in a monochrome world where you can only move right, and you evolve to 8 bit then 16 bit graphics as you progress through the game. In the second game you start a little further on but the same principles apply. A lot of tongue in cheek humor (you initially named "Clink") with shout outs to old games. It's just great.

I’m telling you now wait on monster harvest. There needs to be way more done to that game before it’s ready. You can still tell it’s made for pc, you can’t read super small font, it’s also very clunky while moving around most menus.
