The way some of us are angry with the Nana Addo government, I even wish NDC would get 200 seats in parliament. But all seats must be won genuinely, based on accurate results. All the polling station results are known. All the parties have their pink sheet copies. The parties should know which seats they've won and which they've not won, based on their own collations. Sending party supporters to collation centres to vandalise and disrupt the process in order to influence declarations in a particular candidate's favour is criminal. Those who instigate such acts should bow down their hands in shame. The right thing to do in such circumstances is to do a re-collation to get the right figures and the right winner declared.

Lawyer Frank Davies was my classmate, a colleague at the bar and a friend. I have followed his professional trajectory with admiration. What happened to him and others is despicable and I am very happy he is safe. I believe however, that political party leaders must tone down their undemocratic rhetoric to avoid such undesirable consequences. With some elements in the NPP saying that they will never hand over power, Kennedy Agyapong stating that the NPP used underhanded means to win the 2020 elections and that if he is provoked, he will reveal how they corrupted the process, and the likes of Wontumi saying that the NPP has a million ways to win the 2024 elections, is it any surprise that what occurred occurred? Democracy means you play fair and if you lose, you congratulate the winner and hope for better results next time. But to say we will never hand over power, we have a million ways to win, etc creates the tension we are all now witnessing. Hopefully, both the NPP and NDC will take a cue from this and call their followers to order.

Blame the Ghana Police. Everyone was working except the police with their helicopters, tanks etc. The government should always appoint a military officer to head the Ghana police.
