One interesting detail about the chromatic system is that the buttons are organized like a piano keyboard with the notes cut off 3 by 3 and placed on 3 rows, so the sequence of white and black notes is the same! If we start a chromatic scale on C, we have white, black white, then black, white, white etc exactly like we would see on a piano keyboard. Also, the chromatic keyboard is "isomorphic" which means that a given fingering can be reproduced on the keyboard just by moving your hand to change the tonality.

I have a question for you and I hope I can word it in a way that makes sense. I'm going to assume that you can also play piano accordion as I ask this. For those of us who are familiar with piano keyboards, is it hard to "visualize" the layout of a B or C system? Most of us develop a sense of interval spacing on the piano because it's layed out in such a straight line, so we "see" the music on the keyboard. I'm super curious about moving to a button chromatic, but concerned it might be very difficult to make the transition. I love all your videos!
Piano players are very good with button accordion! B- system is easy. Starting with middle C you can play Chromatic scale without learning the B- system.. It goes from row three diagonally row 3, 2, 1. C, C#, D, again row 3,2,1 D#, E,,F and so on.

@tritenina Could you please explain, what is the difference between bayan, and chromatic button B type accordion and chromatic button C type accordion?
Bayan is chromatic B system accordion. C type has a different system from B system on the treble side.

Yes. It's a good decision for the beginner.
How do I remember what the notes are if all buttons are white?
On the treble side there is white and black buttons. On the bass side there are 3 marked notes: C, E and A flat. You can feel it with your finger.
@@tritenina I have an Accordion Giaconda. I only have white buttons on both sides, and on the bass side only one is marked.
I'm a newbie to the accordion world although I play many other instruments but Trumpet is my major ,however I find that the accordion is a fascinating instruments like having a whole band-in-a-box, thanks for sharing your expertise I also find that this instrument crosses many cultural barriers and is a great way of bringing people together of different cultures
