Tech millionaire Bryan Johnson walked out of a podcast recording in India due to air pollution, experiencing skin rashes and eye irritation amid an AQI of 130, which is similar to smoking 3.4 cigarettes daily. India’s pollution affects its entire population of 1.4 billion people, causing heart disease and cancer.

THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THIS UP. I have been discussing it for years. I understand I have had a privileged life, being an NRI, but my body is used to a certain level of clean air, and it just cannot handle the air in India. Recently got back to Mumbai after a month in Dubai, and just normal breathing flared up allergies, caused sinus blockages, and a throat infection. It is BEYOND MY UNDERSTANDING how regular citizens just ACCEPT this as "NORMAL", and continue to live without the BASIC HUMAN RIGHT, ie, CLEAN AIR. They don't even bother to demand it of the people in charge.
THE LEAST THAT THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE CAN DO FOR THE CITIZENS OF THEIR COUNTRY IS GIVE THEM CLEAN AIR AND A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT TO LIVE & FLOURISH IN.
I hope someone will take up this cause to the highest authorities and turn it into a massive #cleanairisourbirthright movement because complaining about it for 1-2 months a year and going about the same cycle again and again is NOT IT.

forest cover in India and china has increased according to NASA satellite imagery.
I'll tell one instance which happened to me two days back. I was travelling to office in bangalore bmtc ac bus. As the bus slowed down approaching the next stop, I saw a pile of broken tar, mud and dust accumulated near the bus stop (due to some underground cabling activity). As soon as the bus door wide opened, the same dust gushed inside the ac bus leaving us suffocated and there was nothing we could do. No windows for the dust to escape. All we could do is to wait for dust to get settled. Conductor was simply laughing and told driver to keep the door opened but he didn't do it (neither that would have helped really too)
We pay a premium to use the ac bus (or any better mode of transport) but there will always some or the other infra hurdles to overcome. Air pollution is considered as a joke here. Construction with no proper enclosure (be it buildings/flyovers/roads/metro), Underground cabling activity as soon after road is tarred, encroachment, littering. Authorities should be held accountable. Consequences are long term. Bangalore winters used to be lovely but now it's literally making people asthmatic with the cold weather and air quality. There is only one mantra which works here. "Make more and more money so that the problems don't affect you anymore"
the real reason is media who never ask this question to modi
Puppu gang is after jaati of air 😂
Palki was in London to give that speech. She could have addressed these issues but instead she like many others chose to sugar coat India and lie about the ground realities. It's the journalists job to question these things, but not one has a spine and are all bought by these politicians.

People that are not accustomed to air pollution are a lot more sensitive to it.
@@CosmoHills bro even if you're accustomed, there are long term damages especially to people who are "accustomed" to it.
Just because people exercise outside and go out in this air, doesnt mean people arent suffering! What choice do people have, stay locked up in their houses? People have been complaining for decades about the air quality! Every other person living in Indian cities like Bangalore and Delhi struggle with severe allergies, wheezing, asthma! We need to stop and think how we as citizens can better contribute to improving the air quality? Can we take the public transport? Can we car pool, instead of driving our cars everyday and reduce the number of cars on the streets and thereby reduce emission? Can we plant a tree on our street? Can we push our local government authorities for more green spaces and greenification of our streets? Can we push our local governments for electric buses? We shouldnt wait for our children to get sick, we need to act now! Join forces and act! The problem in India is that there is no understanding of civic responsbility, people tend to think 'its not my job, its the governments responsibility'! It is our state, city, country! We live here and it therefore is equally our responsibility.
You are right. My thought also. Use cheap big public transport throughout the cities is better then all those cars, honking traffic, which is the main cause of pollutants. Green should be everywhere as well, next to good drainage, but also collecting rainwater, in bigger well, ponds and so. Its a combination of lot of things. Also traffic should be more structured to safe fuel. By stopping, avoiding, braking, and accelerating, one use more fuel, creates fine dust and toxic gasses, mostly carbonmonoxide. I dont think carpool will be the solution at this point. Busses, electric one should do the trick if they put an easy system with busstops, making it safer too. It can all happen very quickly if everybody took responsibility, started occupying empty spaces with trees, greenery, and don't litter. Inspire of Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan, travel videos, showes people not doing it. The people don't even simply repair their road filmeditie with holes, while you see everywhere chunks of dirt, Stones, to fill the gap, and use some cheap cement, mortar, or something. Instead of simply solving it, it becomes so much worser. They are very proud of knowing lot of Jugad's, but simply fails right there where they live. Unclean streets, holes, suer and so on. Maybe we need some videos nation wider to show simple things what people can do. Or maybe a weekly gathering to do something in the neighboorhood with the available free means to fix certain things. Lots of kids can help do that too.
People in my state dont even leave a itsy bitsy tiny place to plant a single tree... they even cover the road with concrete and remove trees from roadside...
They want us to get sick by all means. It's their WEF agenda

Palki never begins to China and breathe air in China. She is trying mouthbad China air quality to make India great again.
Improve english quality first
As a Sri lankans, we also suffering Indian air pollution. fix it
We suffer from your existence! SRI LANKA lives on India's aid and some pieces of 💩 like you have audacity to say such things!
Fix your government and economy first. And be independent. Remember Srinlanka gets Financial aid every year
I’m from one of the poorest parts of the US and we still have an Air Quality of below 50. Your government needs to do A LOT MORE. An AQI of 130 is considered unsafe by most countries in the world
From the title , I really thought this video narrative would go the other way. But kudos for speaking about the real problem at hand.
It still blows my mind that this isn’t the main topic of conversation for the delhi election.
This guy is an experimental man but the air in Delhi is unbearable.
Its poisonous to say to least.
Air pollution must be curbed. Especially in the insanely polluted capital city of Delhi.
I would loveeeeeeeee to go to India. Only thing holding me back is the air quality.
You can go to places where the average AQI is less than 25. There are pockets in southern India and in the northeast. Just avoid the big cities, especially in the north in the winter.
Come to Shillong in Northeast India. Air quality ain’t bad
Please don't go there. You will regret it. I'm telling you as an Indian. If you think there's something "spiritual" there I can tell you , there's nothing. It's just hype.
@@mayankdewli1010 just shut up
Go to any hill station then you will realise how bad air is in our cities.
Please don’t give ideas to people from Delhi, they’ll make AQI at hill stations even worse
@@allesgut7071 So many hill people come for job in. delhi over population and city jam packed is cause all of this issues
I am an Indian and I am with Brian Johnson , our air is polluted and the government should do something.
He has spoken the absolute truth 🙌🏻🙌🏻
It' 100% true 🙏
He is not wrong many countries are moving to renewables,ev and other less polluting energy consumption. where as india is operating and expanding coal power plants. and heaps of garbage were left to rot in cities which exacerbate the pollution.
2 month old bot. As always stating misinformation. I live in Kerala, India, and my home has been running on solar energy for the past 9 years. World's first fully solar powered airport is also in Kerala. Solar energy programmes are running aplenty, along with EV vehicles, supported by the budget also (subsidies for solar power, lowering prices for EV parts including batteries). Things are not going to change overnight. We will at least need 8 years for a significant reversal. Don't worry, we are moving in that direction, with Nuclear power also..
India is not only Delhi, Mumbai, in my town the AQI is around 50-70 and most of India has good AQI except the metro city.
Population density is more in cities only...makes majority of Indians under threat
Come out of this bubble. Every North Indian city has AQI above 50, even villages in winters. The smog layer is so thick that back in the 1950s, the Himalaya ranges were visible from punjab cities like ludiana, but now they are not. Second, AQI of 70 is still unclean. In LA, we use our air purifier when AQI goes above 25-100 during wildfires.
Well, métro cities are the most populated. Delhi and bengaluru have have more people than Singapore combined
@@faeezparkar9731 no way here in uttrakhad aqi never go abouve 20
Correct in our Uttarakhand villages we Always have clean air unless reckless tourists from Delhi up Bihar come in numbers and start polluting
Even I do encountered severe skin rashes, lungs infection & acne breakouts & stomach related infections due to both the air & the water quality so frequently whenever visiting India.....I'm also a foreigner & always visit India annually for pilgrimage purposes..
Bryan's statements & his acts are great reality check, btw😊
Finally he is aware that hygiene is bann in india😂
Well he go the reality check ! Eating 1000 pills a day he couldn’t stand air that billions of people easily handles 😂😂😂😂
Why he will have to face similar situations like we face like a insects. He is living in developed country. not in 3rd world nation.. so 130 AQI MUST BE NORMAL FOR INDIANS BUT NOT FOR 1ST WORLD COUNTRIES
@@Master4yu-b9i not avery body loves to live in ashit hole
no you uneducated fool, he left for his health not because he couldn't breathe. Breathing toxic air is not a flex.
He is 100% correct in sri lanka our cities are full of smog because of polluted air drifting from india.
Acknowledge facts instead of hating on him. Ceos want you to work 90 hr weeks in this kind of air
Well done Johnson. We need a reminder every couple of months.
Not only India, neighbors of India too going to suffocate because of this. All SAARC governments should start taking actions on air pollution immediately with India coz all SAARC countries are at very low standards specifically on environmental factors. Otherwise everyone will going to suffer alot soon.
Bla bla bla blaaaa bla 😂
Yeah sri lanka did last week cuz of india, we absolutely despise ya'll cuz of it
By your Name I think You are from Srilanka .The Pollution Is Only In Some States Like Punjab ,Haryana ,Delhi Etc not close To you
@ dude last week sri lanka was covered with heavy smog cuz indian farmers have been liting their farms and it was so bad I literally suffocated when I was riding my bike. the wind pushed the smoke south instead of north to pakistan, it happens few times a year cuz of india
@@muazunais2378 You are Lying !How Do I know Because Staple Burning Is Happening in Punjab 🤣.The AQI In All The States Near Srilanka Are Good .Atleast Came Up with Facts Bro Dont lie
That's why people should elect educated leaders
Because of the indian air pollution , we Sri Lankans are suffering too.
The day indian media start taking cricism constructively, we will start growing as a nation.
We have time for masjid madir…Hindu Muslim..christians..but not clean water …air..roads 😢
He is right.
To be point blank, he is absolutely right. No matter how patriotic Indians are.
He definitely gonna watch this intro twice😂
