You are the first person that I have seen who has hair like mine, silvery gray, coarse, dry, frizz prone (its normally big, but when its humid, ITS HUGE!), wavy and a ton of it. I have been following your routine for only a few days and already my hair looks and feels better than it ever has (by ever, I mean that I can remember... like even as a small child). I miss the old Aveda Cherry Almond Bark. The new formula is nothing like it, ughhhhh. They discontinued it, then came out with the cherry almond line. Meh. I have curly hair, and am 6 months into my grey/blonde hair journey. I was nearly a year into my greys in 2021, and my son decided to get married. I didn't want to ruin the pictures, so I dyed it, grrrrr. So far, so good. I'm looking forward to my silver/blonde curls. Yay. I've been coloring not to cover grey, but to cover my blonde hair that I thought washed me out. Your hair is gorgeous❤
Thank you for the kind words and congratulations on your son’s wedding 💖 I didn’t realize the aveda product had changed. I only started using it recently (last five years or so).

I knew I noticed a hint of a Minnesota accent! 😉. I hope you’re feeling better. My hair “routine” consists of Joico de-tangling spray, Chi Silk Infusion, my Dyson supersonic and round brush, and sometimes a touch of argon oil or anti- frizz serum once dry. My hair is straight, so it’s pretty easy. I’m envious of your beautiful curls!!
LOL just don’t ask me to say “coat, goat or boat” 😂😂 I’ve had good luck with the Chi Silk Infusion, too. I think it’s interesting that folks with straight hair are also enjoying argan oil. It’s so good!

I am brand new to my silver hair as of 3 wks ago- just shagged it out, (cut my hair in a shag style) removing the outer layers of old blonde. I was a bit shocked by how different the texture was and bought a generic heavy duty conditioner from Sally Beauty which works fantastically. My hair really feels like it is thriving now, growing out and settling into a natural state. I havent seen my real hair for 30 yrs so this is very exciting!

@@BelindaTN I meant cutting it with a razor in a short shag style, in order to remove the outer layers of dyed hair. I use a generic product from Sally Beauty called Deep Conditioner Keratin Mask (a dupe for "Its a 10 Miracle Mask"). I only use it on the very ends since my hair texture seems more coarse.
I found my first gray recently so I wanted to look into what to expect. Your hair is gorgeous! And we have a similar texture. I really hope my hair stays curly as it goes gray.

Interesting video! I want to try Mizani Miracle Cream..my favorite oil, by far, is Mizani Supreme Oil! I'm having more trouble finding it, though. I like the lipstick color on you & your hair is pretty.
Hi, Denise! I haven’t tried the Mizani oil and now I’m intrigued 🧐 they really do make beautiful products. This lipstick shade is “Motivate” from Rare Beauty in the lip soufflé.
I use AG leave in conditioner, plus a curl cream, a gel and finish with a hair oil when the hair is wet and dry. I have very thick, coarse, grey curly hair. I have noticed a yellow cast to my hair and I am seriously considering an express gloss and tone at my hair salon in two weeks. They tell me that the toner will wash out in 6-8 weeks. I’m nervous that it will leave a demarcation line as new growth shows. I haven’t dyed my hair since I was in my early 20’s, as my hair was very resistant to colour. I’m in my 60’s now. I love my grey hair and hope to find a solution for the yellow cast. I just put in an in- line filter on my shower to minimize chlorine. I clarify my hair roughly every two weeks. I have tried purple shampoos and conditioners with little effect. Doing my research.
I have the same issue you have with your back breaking out on my neck and side of my face. I take my button turban, wrap it around my neck until my hair dries completely, and then the products don't break me out that way.

does argan oil cause grey yellowing, as it is yellow in color? I used it when i colored my hair, but now I’m a bit hesitant, but I do need silicone-free hair oil and was thinking of trying it again
I have white white hair. The blonde dye is growing out and it's yucky yellow. I tried purple shampoo it dried my hair out. So now I'm going to try your products to see if I can get it at least soft
I too have used Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner and I loved it! Unfortunately my hair is prone to discolouration so I had to discontinue its use. I now use Pureology Color Fanatic Leave in Conditioner! I do not spray it directly on to my hair. I spray it on to my hands and then apply! I use quite a bit because I have the same hair type as you do. I also use Olaplex No 7 Bonding oil after my hair is dry, not when it’s wet. I put it on my ends and wherever I am frizzy. 😊
Hi, Rita! 🥰😘 I want to try the Olaplex products! I hear so many good things and for whatever reason I’ve missed them as a brand. I’m trying some new colorless curl creams (samples) to replace Mixed Chicks. I just loved how it managed to hold my curls but not dry them out. I just tried a sample of Kerastase Curl Manifesto Leave-in and my curls look great this morning. 😃
Hi Beth , so sorry to hear you were sick, happy your feeling better 🥰 I use the Verb leave in conditioner which I really love but switch once in a while to Ouai, Briogeo and l’Ange. I do add hair oils since I saw your video a while back, it really does make a difference. L’Ange has a leave in called Dream cream which I used last Thursday, air dried it. My wavy/curly hair was soft, smelled amazing and all I did was add a little water to my hair today to refresh the curls. I wish you speedy recovery and look forward to your next video 🤗🌹
Thank you, Louise 🥰🤗 I’m still recovering, but it hasn’t been too terrible. I think I’ve been pretty lucky 🍀 I love hearing your suggestions. I’ve been wanting to try more than just samples of the Briogeo line-it looks fantastic. I need to try L’Ange, too! You have such great suggestions 💗 I hope you’re doing well and thank you so much for the kind words.
So I have to say...I have not used products with any silicones for over a decade. I did not realize the Mixed Chicks leave in had amodimethicone when I bought it from Amazon. Well ... just a dab ..OMG, it works great! Along with my styling products.
@@InfinitegardenbyBethK I wash my hair every day so I dont think I need to be concerned. And, The amount of the Mixed Chicks conditioner I use is about the size of my pinky fingernail and I have very small hands and nails..
You're so lucky, your gray hair looks very nice on you👍 Unfortunately gray hair on some folks looks like total crap, good heavens, nature can be so stingy sometimes😁
Just channel surfing, looking for ways to tame my hair I've been growing my hair out and I'm about I'll say 80% grey My hair is curly/wavy pretty dry when I put nothing in it after washing. Thanks for sharing. New subbie ☺ And as you were describing your hair we I have similar texture
Your hair is gorgeous! I've stayed away from leave in conditioners and hair oils, because I have fine wavy hair (although the top layer which has a lot of grey is coarse and dry) and it's easily weighed down . Would the products you recommend work on fine hair? Also, do you ever put gel in your damp hair before you go to sleep to define your waves?
Hi, Kate! 🥰 thanks for the kind words and thoughtful comment. I’m not sure, but you might consider a spray in moisturizing treatment. I know Mizani makes 25 Miracle Milk, which sprays in. I’ve used a sample of it and really liked it, but I haven’t bought a full bottle yet. That might be the right weight for your texture. I’ve definitely used gel in the past but I can’t remember if I ever slept in it. I think it would work! I also like spray gels for soft hold. Do you like to use gel with your waves?
You should watch "blowout professor" here on you tube. He explains the "trinity" of hair care which is exactly what she is using ...shampoo/conditioner, leave in conditioner and a hair oil. Of course if you are blow drying, always use the hair oil last as a touch up for the ends...otherwise you may damage your hair (if you put the oil in, them blow dry.....we are not cooking bacon😅)
Do you not use a product with hold every day when you wear your hair curly? I have tried the Mixed Chicks Leave in but may try it again. It basically works as a gel, right?
Hi, Susan! Last night I washed my hair and left it curly. I used Mixed Chicks and then a little hair oil. I think the Mixed Chicks does work like a gel with light hold-it’s usually enough for me and if I use too much of it, it can get that ramen noodle look.
I've always had thick, wavy, coarse dry hair. And now that I'm gray, it's more noticeable. My favorite products are Redken MEGA SOFT shampoo and conditioner. It's a 10 Express Miracle Silk Leave in (for dry wavy hair in the purple bottle). Mask: Joico K-pak Luster Lock Instant Shine and Repair. Unfortunately, all these products are pricey. But they work, and they are worth it to me. I also like Pantene Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner, it's like Dry Shampoo but for dry hair, not greasy hair, it adds light moisture and softness in-between shampoos, especially if you shampoo weekly like me. It's hard to find. Not in stores anymore. But I get it on ebay or Amazon.
@@InfinitegardenbyBethK I don't know. As far as I know, that is the only dry conditioner I have come across. But they probably sell similar items but just don't call them dry conditioners.

My hair is mostly gray and wavy. I use a leave in conditioner and oil. I even use a curl cream. My hair still looks frizzy and breaks easily.
Yes yes yes! All the moisture is needed. 💖💖
Does anyone know if using a blow dryer or straightner after applying the aveda leave in conditioner is okay? Thanks.
I have definitely used a blow dryer but not a flat iron.
I think I’ve been pretty lucky 🍀
I love hearing your suggestions. I’ve been wanting to try more than just samples of the Briogeo line-it looks fantastic. I need to try L’Ange, too! You have such great suggestions 💗 I hope you’re doing well and thank you so much for the kind words.
Doesn't three oil weigh down the hair... ?? Mine is thinner hair but plumps after dry...
It absolutely can weigh down thinner hair! My hair soaks it up, and I have good luck with it. My hair texture is very coarse and dry.
I cannot go without a leave-in because my hair is so curly it will get dry immediately and crunchy.
Same here, Zelda!
So I have to say...I have not used products with any silicones for over a decade. I did not realize the Mixed Chicks leave in had amodimethicone when I bought it from Amazon. Well ... just a dab ..OMG, it works great! Along with my styling products.
I hope I didn’t lead you down a bad path! I don’t mind silicones because I use clarifying shampoos. 💖
@@InfinitegardenbyBethK I wash my hair every day so I dont think I need to be concerned. And, The amount of the Mixed Chicks conditioner I use is about the size of my pinky fingernail and I have very small hands and nails..
beautiful hair :)
Thank you! 🥰😘
You're so lucky, your gray hair looks very nice on you👍 Unfortunately gray hair on some folks looks like total crap, good heavens, nature can be so stingy sometimes😁
You should check out my video “no such thing as bad gray hair” 😉
You have really beautiful healthy looking hair😊
Thank you! It was a long journey to get here.
Just channel surfing, looking for ways to tame my hair I've been growing my hair out and I'm about I'll say 80% grey
My hair is curly/wavy pretty dry when I put nothing in it after washing.
Thanks for sharing.
New subbie ☺
And as you were describing your hair we I have similar texture
Hello! Welcome 🥰😘 we really do sound like hair twins. Congratulations on your journey 💖
Love your videos
Thank you for being here! 🥰😘
Do you have layered hair cut? Thank you 🦋
Yes! I have a video about it from last December, but I have a new one coming this month. 💖

OMG! Went on amazon Canada for these products....wowa, so expensive!!! Probably cheaper in the States.
Possibly, but I do admit to tending toward the higher end. Especially for hair.
Even my browns are dry and kinky on the crown area. Pre menopausal here!😮💨
Oil masks! My hair is insanely dry this season and I just did a major oil mask.
Aveda?
I've always had thick, wavy, coarse dry hair. And now that I'm gray, it's more noticeable. My favorite products are
Redken MEGA SOFT shampoo and conditioner.
Great suggestions, Tigre! I want to dry that dry conditioner mist now. Why do they always discontinue great products?!?!
@@InfinitegardenbyBethK I don't know. As far as I know, that is the only dry conditioner I have come across. But they probably sell similar items but just don't call them dry conditioners.
Get straight Jojoba oil.
I think my hair is destroyed from hair straightening.
I can relate!!
It's stringie
Like always beautiful you are ,
Thank you, Adderly! 💗
U sound fine
Thanks, Carmen 💗
8/10/2024 I have decided to go grey...
Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊 it’s such a personal decision and we come to it when we’re ready 💖💖
I use stuff from my kitchen. Like coffee, clove, banana, aloe vera, cinnamon. I stay away from store bought products
That's fantastic!
