I just received mine and ordered it with the 256gb with pre installed games but…. No SD card shows up under storage and when I open an emulator to search for games it says none detected…. Do you think I received a broken SD card or maybe reader is wrong? It is there a step I’m missing?
Could be that you just need to "allow" your device to read the sd card. What happens if you eject the card and put it back in? Sometimes you get the option to allow the device to read it and make changes to it.
@@Techcravers Hmm, I’ll try again im pretty sure i tried that though. I tried opening the sd card on PC though and it instantly says I need to format the card, and I cant even open it to look inside it. So I wonder if maybe they sent me an empty card lol. Also the card says on the outside 256 but on my pc it says its a 125gb card lol
i still like and prefer the 505
I would only pay extra for the 256g because it comes preinstalled with games. The Retroid pocket or any of the other higher end devices that emulates ps2 and up doesn’t offer that. Is there a way to download ROMS using the handheld? If it has WiFi I should be able to insert my own sd card and download them directly using the device and not a computer
From what I've gather you should be able to but it may be easier to use a computer to download to the sd card. Mine is coming Monday so I don't know for sure yet. lol
I just got mine in I'm a little disappointed that it did not have an HDMI slot I was hoping to play it on the TV or a monitor
Yeah, but you could always get a docking station.
you can get an HDMI to USB type c adapter. Works fine
So cooling aside, how much better will it game than SD 8 Gen 3 on a phone?
SD 8 Gen 3 is a MUCH better CPU.

Still waiting for Valve to release a mini Steam Deck, or atleast Anbernic decide release something that capable of doing what the Steam Deck does.
If this would be on Linux i would buy it, but Android under 7" is a no-go.

This one really makes me mad because it could honestly be an absolutely amazing device for streaming if only anbernic used full sized joysticks it would be PERFECT but with the same crappy calibrated switch sticks they use in evry other handheld makes this complete e waste
The joysticks are good just need to open it up and shave down the plastic that’s near the joystick for full motion it’s not software issue
You can also get replacement sticks easily and cheaply, without any need for soldering and stuff

Another E Waste Investment device by the Almighty Anbernic. By the time everyone buys 2 or 3 Anbernic devices to get the "next best thing" they'll realize where the true power and ergonomics lay with the Odin 2 Base model 😂.
Think you could argue every one of these devices is "E Waste" oh well. There's a market for them.
Can’t argue with the fact that the Odin 2 is superior to basically every other Android handheld. However, Anbernic remains popular, and people continue to buy them :)
@@Techcravers well... Sure but they're totally differently priced products right? Odin 2 starts at $300, 556 starts at around $200. I don't mind Anbernic personally. I have a Miyoo Mini and a Steam Deck, but I've considered Anbernic from time to time.

Of course the Odin 2 is the better handheld, although not everything is better! The screen is much better with the Amoled screen! 5.5 to 6 inches doesn't make a big difference. The ergonomics are also much better than the Odin 2! With the Odin 2 my hands fall asleep after 2 hours, with the RG556 not even after 3 hours😅
