Paultons Park Tornado Springs Construction Update - March 2020

- In this exciting series we'll be following the construction of Tornado Springs, a new area that's opening at Paultons Park in March 2021. Originally this new themed area was planned to open in May 2020, however this was delayed due to Covid-19. Tornado Springs will feature a variety of new rides and experiences all set within a heavily themed area based on 1950's America.
In this action packed update we head into the station for Storm Chaser for the first time along with taking a look at the maintenance area. We also take a look at more of the theming that's gone into place throughout the area and much more!
Here at Theme Park Worldwide we look forward to working with Paultons Park throughout the entire construction phase and bringing various on site updates all the way through until the opening of Tornado Springs in March 2021.

Wow, it's looking amazing...So good Paultons are doing this and growing, definitely THE park to watch in the future here in the UK...The theming is so good and thought has really gone in to it....The park has always looked great, and very clean and ran well and this will make it even better and pull in more people..:) I only hope Merlin never try to buy it ;)

Great, haven’t been there since August last year, I’m quite scared of rollercoasters so this park is perfect for me, also unrelated I love velociraptor. It’ll be very cool just to walk around this place, it’s such a great addition to the park

Good luck to Paultons, this area looks great. So much more care and attention with the little details than you'd find at a Merlin park despite having a tiny budget by comparison.

Paultons is our closest theme park so we will be going there much more in the future and I can't wait to ride the new coaster!
Chessington is my closest park...it used to be good but then they took all the big rides away to make it a park for 3-8 year-olds

I haven’t been to Paultons Park in a few years. The last time i went in July 2017 wasn’t that good. My Dad made me go on Flight of the Pterosaur first, when i wanted to go on Cobra first, since it was my very first thrill coaster. When i’m older, i will always go on Cobra first! I’m also looking forward to the new rollercoaster!

Looks amazing. For a family run theme park, it realy has come a long way. Last time i was there was the year after edge was built (its a coaster not a flat).

I’m 24 and I go to paultons park every year with my family due to younger cousins but I will be sad when they remove the wave runner ☹️ I’ve been lucky to see our local theme park evolve over the years from a bird sanctuary as a kid and now a proper theme park

I remember paultons still as a kid. Finally after all the years its realising its potential. With cyclonator this could be them starting to broaden the age range.
I'd like see a new area by where cobra is. And then get rid of critter creek. But I like the idea of gd family coster and a decent flat ride. It's a cleche but would love a woody and a good log flume.

So there isn't other family coasters or kids rides then no? The coaster you talk about has been there like 15 years.
Most of if not all the rides are family rides. So not sure on your point anyways.
You missed Storm Chaser testing last year! Did you not get round to going?
Unfortunately we didn’t get chance to visit over summer due to us visiting a variety of other theme parks. We’ll be back this year for the opening!

Stop making everything about that damn virus, we come here to get away from that reality.
Well Disney and Universal will close all their theme parks worldwide by the 16th and Knotts is closed as of the 14th (today). Italy is closed down except for shops and pharmacies.
So yes parks are closing.
In the UK the Government is talking about blocking any large gathering so that may include UK theme parks. And a lot of countries has closed their borders or if you go there, you have to self isolate for 14 days. So not a lot of customers arriving from other countries.
We're currently following the advice from the UK Government which is to carry on, however take extra precaution!

In the past day, more countries have enacted flight bans and mandatory self isolation for anyone entering their country.

I honestly don’t know if Paultons would open it on the official date. There is some fears theme parks worldwide would need to be closed for a long while due to the coronavirus. Disney parks is closed for a long while.
