Amazing project! I did Nilheim's eyes a couple months ago. I would totally be interested in how you animate from blender and transfer the code on over.
This is such a cool project. What about adding a little camera, like esp32 cam to the eye? Or a laser! I think so cool how you can control it. Maybe add a playback sequence so it would move by itself in a loop?
That's definitely on the to-do list. The smallest camera breakout board I could find is more than double the size of the eye (25mm diameter) I would love to write a bit of tracking software and have this follow people around.
You totally could, It would need a wifi enabled board like the ESP32 looks like it only adds $5 to the project.... www.adafruit.com/product/5348?gclid=CjwKCAjwo8-SBhAlEiwAopc9WzZsM1CFP99UukInk4Hu_pN1J0KVjT6qWG0g1D8GDwc-rhbPxbz-6RoCbsAQAvD_BwE
Technically yes. I wanted the ability to have a more "expressive" eye in the future by controlling the eyelids independently. You could absolutely tie them together and have them just move at the same time.
nice project. you have any new eyes made up. I'm currently working on a similar tiny eye compact design. wasn't planning on eyelids but maybe. i grabbed these tiny steppers and tiny linear servos. I think smaller than the ones you picked. My hope is that i can make it have a connector on the back so it can plug into a robot head maybe. I made this last year using bluetooth PS controller to control it. my issue is loudness not size. i want quiet eyes. so thats why i got mini steppers to play with. see my first attempt on a head th-cam.com/video/2JZePHL71YA/w-d-xo.html
looks like a great base for making the Eye of Sauron!
Amazing project
Bro you did a fantastic job!

th-cam.com/video/yeJxMaNQAzg/w-d-xo.html This is where I would start. First I need to learn blender :D
Nice use of micro servos.
Really amazing design

Be cool to have a ESP 32 camera added to the eyeball
Believe it or not the ESP32 Camera module is too big to fit. I could increase the total size of the print to accomplish that though!
Awesome! Keep it up. New subscriber now. 😁
You have my subscription! Nicely done video. I was impressed by the Fusion 360 design. Perhaps you could do a video on Fusion 360?
Can do, anything in particular or just generally how a project gets set up/thought about?
@@enza3dllc731 how you generally start with a project like this. And step by step design and why you make certain decisions.
@@n77774 id watch it
Is there a way to use it as stand alone only without remote?
Would you take commissions ?
I need simple eyes 👀 but keep failing at making my own or modifying a set zip had made for me
I'm curious if it could be operated through ifttt commands, making it semi- to totally autonomous...🤔

I guess I don't understand why it takes 4 servos, don't you only need two for movement and one for eyelid?

Heck ye you've earned my subsciption
I whant to do te v2 ;(

what's the outer diameter of the eyeball ?
