This is an excellent window cleaning demo. The sign of a true professional is where a job that requires skill is made to look easy - and you certainly do that. If anyone has tried cleaning windows, you'll know how difficult it is to have a smear-free finish every time! Great stuff - thanks
This is best demo of fanning I have seen it 's exactly how I fan myself. Just one difference it's, how you clean the squeezie by changing the leading edge to the trailing edge. You make it look easy, I don't if I'm getting it all right. When you clean the rubber in motion do you actually quickly swipe the back of the blade onto dry glass, well that's a magic movement. Fair play to you for showing it to me.
Thanks so much - this is such a helpful video. I am a small business owner and need to do some high windows. I now feel I know what to buy and how to do it to get a reasonably good result:)
Cutting the edge will wear out your squeegee rubber faster on the end corners, to save your rubber either dry the glass where it meets the frame with a dry detailing towel to create your dry edge or learn fanning and cut into the glass and you won't need to dry your squeegee or dry a edge to start.
reaaaally useful, I'll start working on this in the next few days and I really don't wanna start from zero, so I'll give it a few more spins before I start :)
If you squeegee the window properly, you just need to wick the corners, and a microfiber will not leave any lint, residue or streaks. It's also good for buffing a quick smudge out, too. Terry cloths may be just as good, but I prefer the Terry for sopping up larger water. I bead my corners with the microfiber. Also, I recommend not squeegeeing horizontally or vertically. I use the s-wipe method. Less lifting the squeegee, less moisture left behind, and less streaks. I'm going to be making some videos on the subject soon.

Why has a UK link been given when this is an Australian video?
Do you recommend using terrycloth or microfiber towel to make the dry edge? Thanks.
I use microfiber.
I prefer terry cloth as it absorbs water more efficiently.

Yes do everything hes saying if you want to take for ever to wash a window
Don't water around the frame. Leave a tiny bit dry.
