hey plz reupload this with your address blurred from the packages. Protect that family. i think your tanksetup is really fresh especially for your first marine tank!
So here are my tips. Add 1 fish now. It will speed up the the nitrogen cycle. Clownfish are very hardy. I'd stay away from my inverts. There is nothing for them to eat in the tank. 10% waterchanges every7 days. Get a good test kit. Slaifert would probably be the easiest to titrate if you can't afford Hanna kits. Tank will be cycled when your nitrates are zero.probably between 6-12 weeks as every tank is different. After that you are good to go. Add fish slowly. Allow the tank to grow but not shock the nitrogen cycle by adding too much waste. Can't wait to see the rest of your journey and tank looks great
Should of placed the rocks in first then the sand , if you get any burrowing fish or fish that move your sand the structure is at risk of collapsing, also maybe coral putty/ glue/ cement the rocks together, nice scape thou well done, also Seachem do an ammonia alert might be worth adding , also add fish first before inverts and turn your lights off & go get some copepods & phytoplankton. Good luck .
Great job with the structure you made out of those rocks. It looks really nice! It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get one more box of rocks like you suggested to fill in that spot. I look forward to seeing more.
Hey Man... Appreciate the videos. had a budget saltwater in the past and lost it but have been itching to do it again with more knowledge. your video is inspiring me! and congrats on the new home
Nice set up! I started with that fine grain sand but switched to the special grain when i upgraded my tank. The fine grain blows around too much and its also hard to clean.
You did great with the scape! Looks lovely. Good luck with your tank! Edit: You can easily put some easy to handle corals in there in 3-4 days. It will help kickstart your tank and stabilize everything.
Welcome to the salt water hobby. If I may say if u bought prime from Seachem. U should also look into getting Seachem stability. Those 2 together are a power house.
Also be aware if adding prime to seachem copper as it spikes & will potentially kill the fish so ask the LFS what copper they use if any, apparently copper power is fine & no issues.
Congrats on the home and the new tank!! Welcome to salt water 🔥!!! You will want to get you a RODI unit asap that’s gonna be critical to your success with keeping corals or you can buy It from a local fish store!! Looking forward to more vids on this tanks progress!! I also use a canister filter and looking forward to seeing how well yours run with it as well!!!
a good think about the dry live rock. you will not have to deal with the bullshit i had to. i had 3-4 brittle stars, aptasia, fire worms. all of which where kind of a pain. go for it. I personally find the coral way more interesting than the fish. see how you feel after a while of collecting some :).
Dope video for real bro. I actually enjoyed your video and style Big ups for having the boys help and build it with you that's PRICELESS Dope aquascape Only thing id suggest is Swapping the Canister Filter For a HOB w Protein Skimmer "Top Fin Pro Series 50G" I have the 30G Verizon on my Tank now. You should check it out i have videos with it. You water and water surface will be Crystal clear. Happy for you proud of you and I'm joining the team 💪🏾 I Subscribed liked and notified. Keep em coming bro
The CaribSea Arag-Alive Figi Pink… Pro: Amazing at cycling a new tank! My latest tank was started with dry rock, this sand, and a pair of clowns. Using a test kit and an ammonia alert wheel, neither ever registered any ammonia. Nitrite just started appearing after about a week or two. Con: Because it is such a fine sand grain, your gravel vac will suck it up. I just let whatever flows into the bucket, stay in the bucket. When a few cups accumulate, I dump it back in. I’d strongly suggest anyone to start a new tank with the CaribSea Arag-Alive product. I might would go with the Special Grade though, as it’s slightly bigger grain size. This tank is 3 months in, fully stocked with fish, multiple shrimp, hermits and snails, with 10 corals thus far. All doing great. If I had gone with more popular methods of cycling… I’d still be watching an empty tank stuck in the nitrogen cycle prison.
You’d beter could put the stones on the glass and then add the sand. Now if you have goby’s and they make there burrows, the chance is that you’re aquascape can collapse.
If keeping corals this will create swings , get a 25litre Jerry can (food grade), drill a hole in the lid to run the tubing & place the Ato pump in the merry can & sensors in the aquarium, Kamoer do a decent Ato & not expensive .
@Renesworldd just measure it it if it's 36x18x16 its a 40 breeder but either. Nice job I'm looking at doing ine as well just in the process of buying a house so gotta wait till thats finalized nicely done not over done like some are I wouldn't add anymore rocks looks good the way it is anyways have a great day will be waiting for the follow up and when you go on the journey of adding fish ....

awesome scape for sure. looks natural. personally i would hold off on the clean up crew until they have something to eat
Nice set up! I started with that fine grain sand but switched to the special grain when i upgraded my tank. The fine grain blows around too much and its also hard to clean.
Looking forward to more updates. I just set up a saltwater tank yesterday so I’m gonna follow your journey
Congrats thank you! Video coming either today or tomorrow another update!
You did great with the scape! Looks lovely. Good luck with your tank!
Edit: You can easily put some easy to handle corals in there in 3-4 days. It will help kickstart your tank and stabilize everything.
My advice is stick with soft corals til you get confident. But if you want LPS, the one you should get is the Duncan Coral.

I picked some up! 😊

Hell yeah bro! I just set up my first saltwater tank too 💪🏼
Let’s get it bro!
Really nice, how much did you spend on everything. I want to start one too but maybe just a ten gallon.
Once you go saltwater it’s hard to go back to fresh. Good choice for the sea salt too. Instant ocean is my choice aswell. Good video man!
Thank you!!🙏
Good work, bro. I also just started cycling a new tank recently
Killed it on the first go! 🤙🏻 keep us updated
Thanks bro! Update coming soon!

In saltwater don’t cheap out on Salt and Lights. Just creating future headaches.
You can add some ammonia to help start the cycle with the bacteria.
Welcome to the addiction saltwater bro
I like how your set up came out try getting more arch from caribsea dry rock
Dope video for real bro. I actually enjoyed your video and style
Big ups for having the boys help and build it with you that's PRICELESS
Dope aquascape
Only thing id suggest is
Swapping the Canister Filter
For a HOB w Protein Skimmer
"Top Fin Pro Series 50G"
I have the 30G Verizon on my Tank now.
You should check it out i have videos with it.
You water and water surface will be Crystal clear.

Good lad 🐠🪸
Good job, nothing more fun than setting up a new tank, nothing
What kind of filter are u using?
You’d beter could put the stones on the glass and then add the sand. Now if you have goby’s and they make there burrows, the chance is that you’re aquascape can collapse.
If you need any help with your tank let me know I currently have my 2nd tank up
Def get an auto top off, will make your life a lot easier
Going through it! I fill up every 2 days!
If keeping corals this will create swings , get a 25litre Jerry can (food grade), drill a hole in the lid to run the tubing & place the Ato pump in the merry can & sensors in the aquarium, Kamoer do a decent Ato & not expensive .
I’d highly suggest an RODI unit
Are you going to make video of you buying the fish and inverts if you due do it awesome and I am here for the journey
Welcome to the hobby my brother
You won’t need two heaters so what filter are you using
I took the other heater out and put it in the new tank that we just set up
Tank size 40 breeder??
I think so that’s what I’m thinking guy who sold it said 50 gallon but def looks like a 40 gallon breeder
@Renesworldd just measure it it if it's 36x18x16 its a 40 breeder but either. I’m looking to do the same and start a reef tank. Also I see that UofA tattoo. I’m in t-town too! 🫡
