@@anthonysanchez7250 He's definitely not peaked; his back is proof of that. I think that he's just now finding the extra power that comes with the 4kg increase. That might be his competition max but he's probably done more in training. It would be a very uncharacteristic mistake for someone as skilled as Yujie to peak his athlete a full year in advance by mistake...

His wife, Guo Xiyan, is awesome! She competed alongside Lu Xiaojun in the 2009 Goyang World's as a 63. She made no medal overall but got a clean and jerk bronze. There, she saw Lu set his first World competition ablaze, creating world records in the snatch and total. When I first saw her picture as they announced their marriage, I was not impressed and I thought a hero like Lu deserved a beauty queen. But Guo Xiyan spent the time since 2013 really cleaning herself up and transforming herself into that beauty queen just for him! Just look at their most recent family picture on the IWF site! Amazing couple they are now!
She's got nerves of steel too! As Lu Xiaojun's wife, seeing him drop his opener to 191 (being a weightlifter, she definitely knew something was badly wrong), then come out for 205 limping off the stage before following with 207 again, the vast majority of women would have ran backstage and stopped it, cursing at his coach for even thinking about doing something so dangerous. I can picture her shrieking at Yujie, "If he breaks his spine and needs a wheelchair forever, you train your other students, but I have to live with him for the rest of his life! His kids have to grow up with a crippled father, did you ever think about that??!" But she was firm; she trusted that her husband knew what he was doing and gave him her full support. She was Lu Xiaojun's mountain that day.

Wasn't doping the entire time like 2016, he most likely shot up the same day as the Olympics even. He swapped out his urine for someone else's, so he obviously never cycled off.
He just got stripped of his Olympic medal and banned for life.
