Good morning. I use to do the same thing while my daughter was still home was to stay out & about while she was at an activity or even work sometimes I would sit and read or scroll on the phone for a couple of hours. It wasn't worth the gas going back home again. You also have a fantastic friday and I will see ya tomorrow

I spent the first half of My adult Life decorating My Home. Turned 50 moved and I now have very Little decorations got rid of Everything. It was just to much work to keep dusted and Dusting is the one household chore I really don't like. Thanks for Sharing.

I am not very good at decorating. I don't like clutter and I always think if I start decorating it's going to feel cluttered. I think your home looks lovely. I have always loved the wreath up on your stove, I think it's so pretty. Fajitas for the win! The pre-shredded cheese is coated with either corn starch, potato starch, tapioca starch, or sometimes a combination.
Cellulose powder is in the Parmesan. I know it’s commonly said that it’s “sawdust” and yes, while cellulose is often made from wood pulp, every plant, vegetable and fruit has cellulose. It’s the part of it that is indigestible and acts as dietary fiber. Yes, it’s possible that some cellulose in food comes from wood pulp, but most comes front other plant sources. And even if there is wood pulp it’s not sawdust or coming from wood like you would get at Home Depot.

All that being said I do love shredding my own cheese and have a smaller version of that type of grater (with the shute LOL). It’s fun to use. 😁
When you are shredding cheese, if you would like to freeze it, put a little bit of cornstarch in it and it will not stick together
Could you use a paper plate as a shoot? placed between the shredding blade and shredding tube? If that makes any sense. I don't know what the things are called. lol But you could cut the shoot to the desired length to go into a bowl or bag. I'm thinking you would have to use the thin cheap plates if you try this. Works in my head LOL

I’ve been shredding and freezing my own cheese for several months without any additives and it’s been working well. No issues. Give it a try! 😊

For years now (45), I've bought the 5# blocks at a local dairy here in Wisconsin, and small blocked and shredded my own. The blocks I put into 8oz portions in a vaccuum sealed bag, and store in frig. The shredded I put in freezer safe bags in 2 c. Portions (about 8 oz) and freeze most of it. Frozen shredded works great in cooked applications. If i want fresh shreds, I thaw the smaller blocks in frig over night, then shred (for salads, etc.)

I am pretty sure that they don't use cardboard or sawdust in shredded cheese. They use cornstarch, potato starch or cellulose. Put your mind in motion before your mouth in gear.

You need to read prevention magazine's article on cellulose and all the foods it is in...
Speak unto others as you would have them speak to you.......
they put cellulose, which is ground up wood pulp, and people with tree nut allergies have had reactions. I know first hand in my family. You can feel it on the cheese, gritty.
Kimmie from She's In Her Apron says to put a little corn starch in the baggie of shredded cheese to put in the freezer.
That's exactly what "they" do.
