A couple of cool things about this song.. Eminem wrote this song to challenge himself, he kept the same rhyme scheme throughout the whole song as rhymes the vowel sounds of “eye”, “aw”, and “in”.
Also if you notice in the first 2 verses his voice is a little bit muffled but by the 3rd verse you can hear him clearly, this is to give the effect like he was outspoken by everyone and afraid to say anything until he gained his confidence. Also he is trying to help the listener understand that in those first two verses he is talking about the past and in the third verse, his voice can be heard clearly, indicating that he is talking about the present.🙇🏽♂️🐐🔥✨💯(Btw the singer’s name on the Hook is “Polina Goudieva” she’s a Russian singer has a unique beautiful voice folks always seem to shit on Eminem’s Hooks but in reality this Hook is fucking incredible! Like most of his hooks especially off this album)

Yeah, I’ve listened to this like 6-10 times and I’ve never caught that, and now that he pointed that out I can’t un-hear it. It’s just such a gradual and seamless transition to a higher vocal escalation that it almost goes unnoticed.

the thing i love about this verse is, he's talking about his bullies from the past and through every verse, you can hear his confidence rising. such a cool concept, story telling is impecable and his wordplay is insane.
