Dinan is certainly an excellent engineer. But I also appreciate his business perspective and transparency. Often times, we enthusiasts wish that we can receive a niche product or service because of our hobby enthusiasm. And I’m confident that Dinan can actually deliver it. But through his videos, he explains that while he would enjoy delivering the desired market outcome, the business dynamics prevent him from doing so as it would be financially inefficient to him and his company. Anyone who is that honest to his/her market is a good businessperson to engage with.

Steve you have an amazing crew. We really enjoyed our stop at the carbahn shop along with seeing the Daytona trophies. The white M3 made the drive from San Jose to Los Angeles without issue. The suspension dampening is the best I have felt on any E36 in the last 30 years...your suspension knowledge is second to none. Ill be looking forward to FULLY ENJOYING your old e36 coupe on Mulholland soon. Thank you for being an excellent BMW ambassador all these years!

Steve is my uncle on my moms side. I haven't spoken to him in a while, I'm glad to see he is still tuning!

Love the e36, I happen to be the one who owns Steve's old e36 white coupe. We stopped by the shop with the car last month on our trip back to Los Angeles from the bay area.

The standard by which others are measured. The Dinan name is synonymous with high quality, dependable aftermarket performance parts. Fast, affordable, and reliable used to be impossile...Steve changed the game. I know that I will be getting a reliable performance product when I buy Dinan parts for my BMW.
It is a true indicator of quality when an engineer/manufacturer stands behind their parts and wants them to work correctly with the vehicle.
Steve Dinan is to BMW what Carrol Shelby was to Ford. What COPO was to the Camaro. BMW's own Skunk Works division. A fellow enthusiast. A racer himself. A master. A legend.
Thank you for everything you have done for the automotive communtiy, Steve. Much respect and appreciation, sir. Huge fan of yours here in Arkansas.

Love the philosophy of everything I’ve seen. But I came into the European cars a bit late. Want an ask for a recommendation on a 2016 535i for suspension setup. How do I keep a daily drive comfortable but a bit more connected. Thanks

Sorry to say, but I was never a fan of this guy. He turbo charged my 5 series back in 1980's and it ran well but had many problems. Steve would never let me talk to the actual mechanic working on my car. He always insisted on being the front man and some things never got told to the mechanic. Getting my car from Marin County down to Mountain view, CA was not an easy task. I was one of the few cars he had turbo charged in those early days of his business and he came across as cold and impersonal. My car was fast tho.
