@@jonroberts6518 thanks for the question. It really depends on the size of your truck and what you are hauling. I have a dot number for my 24 ft flatbed that I take on the highway but I don't have on for my 12 ft flatbed that I keep on the streets. Refer to your state DOT website to make sure you are in compliance.
@@PalletProsAcademy I see in Georgia it's power unit or a combination of truck and trailer being greater than 10,001 lbs. In that case a 20ft flatbed I was looking at would need those IFTA and DOT numbers, I would like just to start with a pickup and trailer that should not exceed the 10,001 in combination GVWR. Thanks.
@@PalletProsAcademy yeah had a brother telling me that information, I was just going off my regular class c license 26000 lbs GVWR or less . Was thinking the whole commercial driver and DOT so I just keep the total GVWR combination below 10,000lbs and lower should be good.

In this business model are you needing DOT numbers and IFTA ? Pickup pallets and drop to the buyer.
