As a truck driver, you don't think about being alone. I'm also often sad that I'm not at home on important days - but when I am at home, I miss the vibration under my feet.
Finally a truck driver who likes his job and not just whining as a pussy :D its truly a lifestile with a lot of sacrifice but at the end it all worth it (if you like it)
The road is calling brother. The sound of a diesel engine spooling up a turbocharger with a full load going up a decent grade hill is another level. Life on the road is my lifestyle not job.
Aussie truck driver here Hauling goods round Sydney in a 22 wheeler. I love the lifestyle and will never call it a job. An Occupation is the first thing I state, but really it is a lifestyle. Stay safe brothers and sisters of the highways.

American one's built in the 1960's throughout the 1980's, are not illegal in the United States. From what I know, they fell out of favor for the truck's that are a common today.

I hope everyone out there knows, that without trucks the supermarkets are empty! We have enough time, we have good cars, most of us has nice jobs - So we don't have to be always in a rush.
Your talent could be put to greater use in the entertainment industry, but having been a wagon driver for 40years myself I loved the freedom of the road. ( now too many rules) best wishes .

Three years ago I was thinking that maybe trucking is not for me, being far away from home from friends. Now, I'm watching this video from Netherlands 900km away from my city laying in my truck's bed. Whole europe became so small for me that I think I'm still at home. And I realized that no country, no city, no house, no continent is our home. The world is our home.
