Diana is a very busy woman. In addition to entering her fourth year at university, she travels extensively to maintain her concert schedule (nine concerts this month across the whole of Russia), participates in various television projects, works on videos like this one, gives many interviews, worked on a film soundtrack, and does humanitarian work.
She is working on her second album but, after everything else, there isn't much time left.

Diana has an amazing originals. She switches up on genres as a young person and she absolutely can sing 🎶 anything. I love many of her first record songs too “the closest soul” with the sand painting of her journey from orphanage to her adopted mother finding her.

Everyone says Diana's voice should be in movie soundtracks. Happily Diana has just recently done work on a movie to be released in August in Russia called the Spirit of Baikal 😃, here's hoping we can see it at some point.

Some of her best music is original, anyone who does not want to hear her sing in her native language is losing a huge portion of her absolute best work.

Thank you for your insightful reactions to Diana's work. This song, Romeo and Juliet, provoked a big discussion between Diana's fans. The core of Diana's international fan base are actually the seniors (50+) and the great problem Diana is trying now to resolve is how to gain a younger audience without losing her traditional fan base. So, the majority of her old fans rejected this song in all its components (rap verse, main characters, vocabulary and style of articulation). They affirmed this was a garbage production which wasn't worthy of Diana's tremendous talent. While the minority (to which I belong) replied to them that Diana is too versatile to be limited by only one stylistic trend and that the true fidelity to Diana means preserving her creative freedom. This minority also outlined the poetic qualities of the text (btw, music and text are by Vitaly Nemykin, a rapper). However, Diana is a strong character and firmly conserves this song in her actual repertoire. And it seems that Diana's fans are getting used to this song and the number of the adepts of this song is steadily growing.
I disagree very few people rejected this song, also her audience is not 50+ in the majority, according to my youtube channel from the people who listen to her only 20percent is over 40 with the majority being at 18 to 35 at 45 percent and the rest of them 18 and below.
I do love the song personally but I still agree that this song is below her vocal abilities, that does not mean that this bad, it is what it is

First of all, let me say to you how much I appreciate your channel which provides Diana's fans all over the world with absolutely indispensable videos. Now, about R&J polemics: I think, our vision of these polemics (i.e. who was in majority and who was in minority) is based on our personal impressions ans so it is your personal opinion against mine: neither you nor I have done statistical research. But the question about Diana's core fan base is quite an other subject. The situation is very clear, especially when we consider Dianas's Russian fans. It is quite enough to assist at any of Diana's recitals to see the average age of her fans. (I don't speak here of special youth venues, such as the performance in Dubna or at the StudFest in Petersburg). Diana herself has said in an interview two or three years ago how much she would like to sing something more youthful and dancing and how much she was afraid to lose her traditional fan base in this case.

Whatever direction Diana decides to pursue I'll never stop listening to that gorgeous voice or admiring the artist herself. I'm 58 and I love this song. I also agree she shouldn't be boxed into any one style or genre, she's far to good to be limited in that way and does need to cultivate a younger audience, it is a career after all. I want Diana to become what Diana wants to become not what others want her to be.
@@durwardsaar6000 I fully agree with you. I belong to the same age group as you. I feel sometimes a little depressed when reading the remarks of some of Diana's fans: never do this or never do that, never sing this or never sing that, this or that collaboration isn't good for you, etc. There is a beautiful short story by Julio Cortazar, WE LOVE GLENDA SO MUCH, about a group of fans of an actress. They kill their idol just to prevent her from what they see as a profanation of her greatness.
Well, now you pronounce "Diana Ankudinova" correctly and without accent. Bravo! This is a nice little song enriched by the Diana's unique voice. She did a great job as usual. The lyrics are quite funny. Probably, they are inspired by the famous Shakespeare's play. Thank you for the reaction!

Up to now, Diana has released only two songs fully authored by her. The title of the first song is Revelation (maybe, the title Revelations, in pluralis., would have been more appropriate): th-cam.com/video/AjaYY0eEJFI/w-d-xo.html . The title of the second is Gone Into Myself: th-cam.com/video/42wnlmtm-Tc/w-d-xo.html . For both titles, I give here live versions recorded by Mike Zotov: in my opinion, they are the best. Both recordings were made at Diana's recitals in a little Moscow club, The Woodgrouse Nest, which is Diana's favorite venue in Moscow. It is the first ever creation of Gone into Myself. Now, Diana has slightly modified the text and sings this song with instrumental accompaniment (and, occasionally, with a live band). A full-scale video production of this song is in preparation.
