Classic Yamaha: They're not always the first ones out of the gate, but once they get in the race, they set the standard. I can't wait to get one of these...
I have watched all the videos on this thing and nobody talks about the brakes at all. Is it a couple discs up front and a single in the rear or something more exotic like the rear brake on a Kawasaki Teryx in a sealed oil bath?
Man, Imagine if these things got to be 2 strokes.. Like if old school 2 stroke engineering had the chance to be improved for 20-30 years since they were already at their best before emissions. there'd be 400cc 130hp UTV's weighing 8-900 pounds at this point.
The best true 2 stroke in all its light weight free revving glory - a unrestricted full bore 2 stroke - is the 2018 Husqvarna FC125 MX dirtbike. It uses a carburetor, powervalve and all that good stuff. 125cc mind you, and it makes 41 horsepower stock. If that level of specific output (.328 hp per cubic centimeter) could be applied to a 400 cc 2 stroke that'd be just over 131hp. around 800cc like this? 262+hp.
Matt Lopez I heard 53 mph but there wasn't anywhere that I could run it full speed to confirm. It seemed like It would run over 60 but that's just speculation.
I went to the Yamaha dealer and looked at it. It's small, the bed it real small. The console in the middle sucks and boxes you in. No pass thru room unless you're a contortionist. And not very comfortable. Yamaha needs to get out of this design and go bigger with the I4 1800cc motor that's in their FX series Wave Runners and get rid of that stupid CVT clutch system. This Wolverine is not for bigger guys or fat chics. The bed may hold a 24 can cooler, but that's about it. My review on it is: It sucks, so I'll pay more and buy the Honda Pioneer 1000 and call it a day and stop looking at all the others.
@@TSemasFl Your complaints are irrelevant though because you're not comparing machines in the same class. The Wolverine is a part of the "recreation" class along with machines like the Can-Am Commander and Polaris General. The Pioneer is a part of the "Utility" class along with the Yamaha Viking, Can-Am Defender, Polaris Ranger. You gotta stick to machines in the same class otherwise of course you're not gonna it like it. The Wolverine wasn't designed to meet your classes specifications
Looks fantastic with the full cab fitted!
I'm a Rhino guy. This is finally a substantial upgrade! I want it!!
Yup had the rhino for 10 years.....my x2 should be here in a couple days
Whooo boy, I'm going to see a lot of these babies on the trails soon!
I bought one last aug 2018. My first Utv, best utv out there fir the money. Plus it’s a Yamaha and won’t break down like Polaris or can am ,👍 love it
Can Am owner here. Two years and no break downs.

Always enjoy seeing these machines from your perspective, John.
He doesn't think it looks like a performer? I think it is one of the coolest/sporty looking sport utility side by sides with a dump bed on the market.
There's More Rattles in my Toyota Tundra! Great JOB YAMAHA! I'm waiting for 2021 to show up.. Wish it could be ordered online n sent to my DOOR!!
I love Yamaha, they bridge the gap between Honda sensibility and Kawasaki/Suzuki's lunacy.
Could you explain Suzuki's lunacy?
@@derekbeare1880
I would say Suzuki is scared to do anything sxs. They have the engines for sxs too.
Yamaha makes the best ATV/UTV on the market
Yamaha is very reliable, Than you for a good video. 👍✨
Could you say if the X2 rides and handles better than the T-Rex

Sure but it doesn't LAST! I Don't want to overhaul it, every other ride.
If they had a 3 seater i would buy it
You can get those with 4 seats.
SisAndBroTOYShow Collier if it had 3 seats it would be wider ! I’m looking for a narrow unit like this!
Still like the design of my R Spec better, all thought the 850 would be nice
I agree, Yamaha would have had a serious slam dunk with the original design with the 850 and other minor improvements.
I've been waiting for this. I'll take the Special Edition in blue please!!!
This or pioneer 1000
This. All day.
Did they announce any pricing?
Every model is priced on the yamaha website. Base $12,600, R-Spec $14,500, SE $15,200
Jay Miner thanks
I got base model in pa. 13000$ cash out the door. All fees included tax title tags. I wanted that gray color.

cab is way too small. deal breaker for many. too bad, nice rig.
I'm 6'2" and agree 100%. Just getting to the pedals require me to lift my foot EVERY SINGLE TIME. Wearing hunting boots makes it even worse.
Jason Lewis I’m 6’1 I just got mine last weekend and so far I cannot complain about the room I absolutely love it.

If that bed its too small for you then buy a pick up truck
