  • RUA Gold (NZAUF) is a gold exploration company looking for high grade gold in New Zealand.
ruagold.com CSE: RUA | OTC: NZAUF
In this video I interview CEO & Director, Robert Eckford, and ask him the tough questions.
RUA is led by a team of people with past successes in the industry:
Rua Gold's CEO Robert Eckford, a New Zealand native, was co-founder and head of finance at Aris Mining.
Rua's Chairman Oliver Lennox-King, also from New Zealand, was formerly the Chairman of Fronteer Gold and Roxgold. Lennox-King is currently the largest shareholder of the company.
COO and Director Simon Henderson, a New Zealand native, has been part of several major gold discoveries in the country including leading the team for the WKP gold discovery.
CFO Zeenat Lokhandwala, was formerly the CFO of Great Bear Royalties and Director of Finance at Great Bear Resources.
Mario Vetro, also from New Zealand, co-founded K92 mining.
Director Paul Criddle formerly served as Chief Operating Officer of West Africa for Fortuna Silver Mines.
And finally, Director Tyron Breytenbach is a geologist who was formerly Senior Vice President of Capital Markets at Aris Mining.
As you can see, Rua has a team of people who have achieved at least some kind of success in the industry. 30% of Rua Gold's shares are held by management and insiders, all of whom have put up their own money to buy shares.
This video was conducted on behalf of RUA Gold Corp, and was funded by Gold Standard Media LLC and/or affiliates. For our full disclaimer, please visit: portal.goldstandardir.com/dis...
Rua Gold sponsored this video. As of the date of the publishing of this video, I do not own shares in the company. Never make any investment decisions based on my videos. This sector is very risky and this should not be considered investment advice. Always do a lot of your own research before investing your hard earned money.

Very interesting. The one question you did not ask was about the power of the green / eco lobby in NZ. I would be extremely surprised if they are not already / or will shortly try and halt the mine. They have a huge amount of political clout in the country making this still a very risky venture. Any info on this would be super helpful.

If you are not pro, I recommend to avoid all mining stocks except for some royalty companies with great potential upside, and with them have 3-5 year horizon, buy like 4-5 now and increase in them over time as we might see new downturns.

Very true, the owners and management, location, political situation should well considered. USAU has been waiting permit from Wyoming since October 2003. No idea how long this co has to wait

Can you do an update on NFGC? Thanks.

That would be awesome. He says 2.5 grams per ton is good. NFGC is oz per ton

I agree, NFGC is something many are interested and invested in, in fact I just bought shares myself last week for the first time. I intend to add if the position rises in value, keeping my total principal at risk fixed. Could be a great one, if it is near a bottom already.

How often do you hear an interviewer ask how much stock they own and how much was paid for that stock? You never hear that, especially not when it’s a sponsored video.

      @@MiningStockMonkeyFair, I give you that.
Maybe I expected more questions like that. Did the company get the questions beforehand? Did they have the right for edits? I like the crux investor format, where you can really gauge the CEO and investment case.
My critical comment was genuine, no ill intentions. I like your channel. Still believe you could have gone tougher easily.

I live in NZ this is not a great mining district regardless of what you hear, yes the gold is here good luck trying to get at it. Long history of protesting and shutting mines down

    Excellent interview Jordan.
I do wonder though, that if they're drilling goes well, then they'd be planning to, sell before 1st pour.
If so, then as we know, that could very much limit investor upside.

Hello Jordan, thanks for your great content. I’m a new subscriber to your TH-cam channel and to your paid newsletter. I’m also relatively new to natural resource investing and have found your content to be very helpful. Would you be able to do a video on how you research mining companies? I was looking into Arizona Metals to determine what tier of asset it could be as well as how much stock the new management team has. However, I had a hard time finding that information on the Arizona Metals website. I’ve watched a lot of videos with Peter Grandich and Michael Gentile, two of their big investors, but don’t want to make the mistake of investing based on narrative. They seem to be pretty high on the new management team that took over in May. Do you still think that management compensation is too high despite the more experienced management team that has been brought in?

You youtube guys all start advertising the same “next big mining stock” they pump and crash. I see the same company pop up on 10 different channels. 2 months later they are 50% lower. Some examples are alaska energy metals, red lake, atha energy.
Dont ruin your reputation pumping these stocks. Your channel is awsome.

The only catch is when they will get the permit, the share size is over 200 million, then the result reporting cycle, 3 days, 3 months? The infrastructure for mining should be solid unlike Panama, investors need the assurance

According to their website, there are already 193m shares outstanding, 213m diluted. That seems high for a start up company. Is that normal for this kind of company? I really don't know much about these kinds of companies. Also, I tried to verify what he said about buying shares on the open market but found no filings on the SEC. I don't know if I am doing the search wrong or something. Was anyone else able to find this info and what ticker symbol did they file under?

There's a good youtube channel called "Crux Investor"? The companies presenting there pay for their interviews.
The host, Matt, drills deep into those companies who do not know the questions before hand; the newly presenting companies aren't cut slack, they get into the nitty-gritty. Great for the channel, great for good companies, and great for investors to learn from. A win for all. I think that's what Jordan was trying to offer here.

Stock brokers and financial advisors are actively discouraged from recommending, trading or investing in the junior mining stock sector particularily the Vancouver Exchange.....the Compliance desks at the major 6 banks stopped allowing their brokers from selling those stocks....add to this active Regulatory initiatives and the entire sector has been increasingly starved of risk capital since the GFC in 2008....and voila it is up to institutional investors and some small individual investors....but not the great unwashed who are absent from a sector that is not sexy but is critical to our society's ability to produce the desired goods and services such as Apple iPhones, EVs etc.....
