Living abroad a little over a decade now I can really hear the so-called "sing song" accent of Trinis. Being a proud trini, I didn't understand what foreigners was hearing when they interact with us but, now I can clearly hear the difference and I love it! Americans barely have any *expression or intonation* when speaking. Generally their tone is *flat and expressionless* unless they are excitedly speaking with friends, and even then (in some cases) they still lack in expressiveness and intonation. We as trinis even have sayings in our everyday speech that lends to expression and intonation. Case and point how Mr. Sana always says "alright!" and things like "A A". If we're gonna ask someone how they are doing we don't simply say "what's sup" or "hey, how you doing" in a monotone voice. No, we are like "How yuh doing man yuh good?" "Wuh going on, yuh aright?" with jovial expression! You can hear pitch, you can hear intonation, you can see and hear the expression in our voice and see it on our face. That kind of stuff is *sorely lacking* in America and it makes Americans appear to be stiff and boring. It takes a Caribbean person or a person that grew up in a country with a vibrant culture to show Americans what the meaning fun is. (ok I'm done ranting 😄)
First of all i admire u all giving thanks before eating but boy when u ate that pepper i felt like it went up in my brain..lol..nice food though, i love red beans..nice how u all sat and ate and just chit chat and laughed. Farmer Harry is quite right about washing out d beans from d cans. Its impressive his passion for reading and how he continues to educate himself by doing so. He is very smart. I love that he can make u all laugh like that and he knows The Word of God. I like how when u asked if he prefers being in a group or alone and he says alone and goes on to explain that d word of God speaks about "do not forsake d assembling of d brethrens but it also says when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Another great video..❤❤
1:50 Yep that's just like me with my friends. I never thought that replacing meat with fish especially salmon would satisfy me and now that I've been eating it, I don't miss meat at all! It only requires a little seasoning and it's a huge money saver. (my friend introduced me to eating salmon as a meat replacement and so far so good)
Lyndon lips got red eating the pepper, I really wish I had that pepper I love hot pepper sauce I’m grateful for my Texaspete hot sauce I’m using for the moment 😄😄.
Is now my thigh brunch when I want to live in maid sofikul can you tell me when you feel like so when people come when people, denying any unexpected hour haven't been seen for Maria call Anita about February to sea nettle okay
