Haven't built Models in over 40 years, and your channel really has got me super excited to get back into it. Super stressful job, need a way to relieve stress, and this is something I'm super excited to get back into again. Nothing beats a really good display cabinet. Sadly most retailers don't sell display cabinets suitable for my 1/48 scale aircraft and 1/350 scale ships. That all changed when I was dumping unwanted old electronics at the dump and recycling center and low and behold I spotted a pair of giant retailers display case counter cabinets. They were 30" tall, 20" deep and 54" long with repositionable glass shelves. I replace the locks and door slides and added new lighting to them and now they are better than new. Perfect for my type of models. I am aware some cities have used furniture exchanges including commercial fixture exchanges. If you discover such a place, check them out you might find the perfect display system at a bargain price. Just make sure you are up to the task of restoring them. I am pretty much the envy of my local IMPS chapter with such cases.

I built a ton of models as a kid/teenager. My absolute favorite was Tamiya 1/35 WWII stuff. I couldn’t get enough of it. I’m ready to get back into it as I approach retirement.

Great display of your babies and showing you beginner build skills and how you’ve improved. It gives me hope and the desire to improve mine. I’ve been out of modeling for 65 years and have recently acquired a stash of WWII aircraft and just ordered a M43 ambulance which I drove in Korea in 1966 & 67. Looks like you have a love for armor & 109’s.

I love the 109s from North Africa. Can you explain a little more on those? What manufacturer, which one was the most pleasurable to build, did you do any scratch building, etc? Perhaps you could do a video showcasing them one after the other and talk about the build and any issues you faced. Have you considered adding some support vehicles for the N. Africa diorama, such as a Kubelwagen, Kittenraftrad as a tow vehicle, etc?

That was really interesting thanks mate. Love your display cabinet - very jealous! Inspired me to start a little project I have been thinking about for a while. I also collect militaria and specifically pilots logbooks from the Second World War. I have an unusual one to a Luftwaffe pilot who flew the Ju88, He177 and Me262 operationally. I think I’ll start to make 1/48 models of the the aircraft he flew and then move onto the rest of my collection - might take a while though! Keep up the good work - brilliant channel👏

Very interesting collection not to mention plaque collection. It is quite obvious to me that your skill grealty outshines mine but it has been roughly 35 years since I was doing models, lots to relearn not to mention learn, technology has definitely improved the sport.
I am interested in doing a ME-262B-1a trainer but everything I have come across has been a ME-262B-1a/U1 night fighter kit in which the rear seat is not for a training pilot but a radar operator. I understand it is quite difficult to transform. Hum, does this sound like a future project, to my knowledge it would be one of a kind.

Awesome collection, my three favs are P-38 Yamamoto raid., I believe the Japanese found him still strapped in his seat outside aircraft holding his Katana. , great F4 , ya need another one for the Thatch Weave :-) Adolf Galland Me 109. He had a great dog he brought back from Spain his name was Schweinebauch ( means pork belly just like me). A big Spaniel . They were best buds, unfortunately the French resistance poisoned him. I'm sure you know O scale trains are 1/48, they might have a Big Spaniel you could add. Plus 55 gallon barrels and maybe sand bags. Last the Higher Call..I did Google Swastica decals and the make them, haven't ordered yet, but plan too. Thanks for the tour.

You have such varied interests in different scales and vehicles/aircraft/warships. So nicely done. Thank you for sharing your work. It inspires me to continue my own efforts at assembling and painting kits. I don't have the same level of expertise, but watching tutorials has helped me improve. Oh and it's the like 3rd time I've ever used a kit barrel! The slide Moulded barrel is actually usable the seamlines are so fine a couple of light passes and it was gone! Absolutely unbelievable so used it amd it's perfect now it's all painted! It's getting tracks westherd just now and new figures as there very poor!
