well, mafuyu is headcanoned to be transmasc but mizuki being transfem is basically canon at this point. she was implied to be a boy in her past but found out who she really was when her sister gave her a ribbon and said “here, so mizuki can be who she really is inside” - this all comes from “and now, the ribbon is tied” event by the way,,,, you can read the english translation of the story on yt

Some lines can also refer to both, such as "The more cruel a town, the more beautiful its rainbow" with rainbow representing the LGBTQ+ community in its entirety. This song sounds like it could also be a sapphic relationship where Mizuki is trans-fem and Mafuyu is not trans (or at least not trans-masc).
