Exactly what I’ve been saying. She’s been changing accents since The Parent Trap days, she was only 10 or 11 during that time! Of course she’ll find it easier to adapt to different accents.
The "accent" she has sometimes isn't even an accent. It's how my friends who teach English as a Second Language (ESL) abroad sound. They spend all day enunciating every syllable in English so their students can understand that they keep talking that way even out of class. Lindsay hangs out with a bunch of people who are Arabic speakers so it makes sense that she would have that stilted, enunciated English when she's abroad. There are a million valid things to make fun of her for but the alleged "accent" isn't one of them.

I remember a few years ago when I watched this show on Netflix called The Fall(I watched it with English subtitles because I can't understand accents) and after a couple of days spent on watching the episodes the first word that comes out of me would always be in Irish accent but the rest of the words is in American accent, but whenever I talk in my mind my voice would be in Irish accent the whole time. This only happened temporarily, I forgot how long it lasted.

@Karl M No her voice was higher especially when she was younger but due to all the drugs SHE CHOSE to do, it messed her voice up! Quit saying her parents are all her fault, they may have played a PART in it but at the end of the day: Lindsay CHOSE to do drugs, party and act trashy; that was HER FAULT!

So true. I mimic people's accents without knowing it. Its easily picked up and hard to shift back. My boss caught me picking up an Indian accent as the person I was speaking with had a strong accent. Irish, Indian, jamaican, Spanish from Spain and Latin America, Italian, Hebrew, French and Quebecois, I can go on
but I have to hear it and I'm hooked. I never mean to offend anyone but it sticks.
Shirley Solano when I first met my roommate she spoke in an Australian accent. I thought she was Australian but she’s actually from Germany. She spend 4 years going to high school in Australia and picked up the accent. Idk how people are able to do it but it would be interesting to research.

Whether you think she looked better with or without surgery those comments are not necessary. Instead try spreading positivity.

Her on-again, off-again accent is not a big deal. When I speak to my mom in English, I speak with a slight accent (even though I don't have one) an an attempt to mimic the way she speaks in order to ensure greater understanding. It's just a natural thing to do. When you go to different country and speak English, you tend to speak with the accent you hear others speaking English in. You feel like they'll understand what you're saying more easily.

Honestly I have the same thing happen to me with the accents! I’m from the Midwest but lived in Mississippi for 2 years and even though I haven’t lived there for a few years, every now and then I talk with a heavy southern drawl. I’m also an actress and have done roles with English accents (and used to for fun as a kid) and I occasionally slip into that as well. Not all the time, it just randomly and naturally happens. Glad I’m not the only one!

really i live in 2 different places in the PH and have different dialects and accents and you can just easily pick it up when that's what you hear 24/7. and i also have friends from the US and from the UK and talking to each of them changes my english accent subconsciously i mean literally you just pick it up.
Yeah she is right. I speak Portugal Portuguese with Portuguese people, and Brazilian Portuguese with Brazilians. Depending on the people surrounding me the accent changes.
