Girl, it *very literally* saved my life! I had the plan, the means, all of it...and then I came across the live performance of Epiphany. *I bawled my freakin eyes out!* It was just the message I needed at that moment and it inspired me to make some huge and difficult changes to my life instead and for that I'm forever grateful to both the guys and my fellow ARMYs. And I'm far from the only one saved by this song. I've talked to a lot of people who've experienced something similar. The power of music...or rather BTS. 😉👍 💜
Fun fact: Jin reeeally wanted that purple hair you liked but the stylists said no. So he did it himself in their hotel against the company's wishes and it became one of the most iconic colours he's ever had. 😂 Not a first for him either - he's kinda known as the rebel of the group when it comes to the company. That's when we say it's JinHit Entertainment instead. 🤣 💜
I didn’t know that I thought they were always allowed to Dye their Hair, Jk did it in Bon Voyage Season 3, He did half Pink , and V has Stated Many Times in His Lives that He doesn’t Follow what the Agency Tells Him!! I just Always thought THE MEMBERS Had Free Range TO COLOR THEIR OWN HAIR!! I Have been Army since 2017 and I Learn something New Everyday!! Thank you for sharing 💜
@@amylou3340 lol yes they are allowed, I think the way op worded is weird, the company is not the one who decides that, the stylist are the ones who come and suggest but no one rofces them and you are also right about the members suggesting what color they want and deciding the style/color they want. When they debuted the stylist used to decide more and since they didnt have that much money back then the scalp of the poor bangtannies was on fire. Now at least they have more professional people and they dont have to wash their hair with cold water haha
the company never said no, as you mentioned, it was a stylist suggesting that it was not the moment, but at the end of the day they are the ones who decide if they want to (like when JK dyed half his hair on Bon Voyage lol) and it is funny because normally stylist say yes when it comes to having new colors (and purple is a pretty one) but maybe it was because they were traveling and it is hard and uncomfortable to dye your hair when you are staying at an hotel
@@taequilasilver7183 Thank you for explaining. I had a feeling it wasn’t up to the actual company but more to the stylists and the Boys I was just checking as to not say wrong information, even though I have been Army for almost 8 years I can still get certain things wrong , so thanks again for explaining a little bit better
@@G.Rudi.BThe unique look of the Piano is actually specifically been requested by Jin. He said to the staff that he wants the piano to look futuristic 😂 Also the purple hair, he's actually the one who dyed his hair purple and posting it was a failure. But that purple hair perfectly suits him. Also, Jin might not look like it, but he's also the funny guy in BTS and surprisingly he's also the eldest.
If it's a Crystal Snow live performance reaction, it needs to be the fanmade MV where he isolated the segment of Jin's verse before and when he hit the triple high notes!!!!!!! I jokingly state I hate this song because after each member does their part -- that's who my bias becomes and my new bias wrecker is chosen!!!! I literally get whiplash!!!!!!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 But seriously, Crystal Snow after Anpanman, is my FAVORITE BTS group song!!!!!!!! BTS are my superheroes!!!!! 😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍 Now I'll listen to both!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
“Lighthouse in the ocean” is the perfect description of Jin’s voice. Another note - never apologize for rewinding as we love watching your reactions because we have already fallen in love with BTS’s voices and seeing someone else tumble down the rabbit hole is pleasurable. Side note - Jin was plucked off the street for his looks and he had to learn how to sing and dance from scratch. At some point, make time enjoy “It’s Definitely You” by Jin and V in duet. Even on your own time.
Agree! Rewind re- listen to whatever you want! I'm here for it! Also your musical input has honestly given me personally a greater appreciation to what we are hearing.
"It's Definitely You" made me notice them. Also, another reactor repeated Jin's ending high notes, then he said "what the heck, it's my channel" and played it again. No complaints, lol!
Jin is releasing his new album 'HAPPY' om Nov 15. His first pre-release track is 'I'll Be There' which came out on 25 Oct! It's such a happy bop! 진 (Jin) 'I'll Be There' Official MV th-cam.com/video/PWjZ3p1jNho/w-d-xo.html 진 (Jin) 'I'll Be There' Live Clip th-cam.com/video/1RlXJJKpMSo/w-d-xo.html Hope you can react to it soon, unless you want to wait for the whole album...
You have no idea how many lives this song has changed or even saved, mine included. I've talked to ARMY's who got out of abusive situations because of it and people who changed their minds (!) because of it. I'm personally in that last category. I had everything prepared and then, by chance, I came across the live performance of Epiphany. I bawled my eyes out! It inspired me to make some huge and difficult changes to my life instead and so yes, I'm still here. I found a supportive and understanding community in BTS and ARMY that helped restore my rather tattered faith in humanity, tbh. That's the true power of music right there or rather of BTS and ARMY. 😉👍 And fun fact: That "piercing tone" in his voice - it physically impacts something in my nervous system so by using his voice as sound therapy I was able to cut my pain medication by 2/3, thereby adding years to the point where they'll stop working for me (painful progressive illness). Never found that in any other voice. 🤯 💜
So happy to hear how it impacted you, especially the last part. The little Jimin inside my head can get me through anxiety attacks and other stressful situations, even lowering my blood pressure and making it easier to breathe. BTS in general, the whole Love Yourself series, but this song in particular helped me finally end a toxic relationship and it was ARMY who helped me through that transition. There's a reason people study this fandom and our relationship with BTS and their global success. They can try to replicate it, but I don't think that will ever happen again. 💜
I'm one of those people who hate when the crowd drowns out the singer, so I was dreading this when I attended the concert because I had seen footage of the shows before mine. BUT I have never experienced anything like 45,000 people singing "I'm the one I should love. " It was amazing. I cried and sang my heart out and was so glad we were all singing together.
Was thinking about ya and wondering how ya've been. Epiphany was a lightbulb moment for me. I had put myself last and hadnt loved myself for a long time. I've planned an Epiphany tattoo. 💜
It's so refreshing to watch someone with a true appreciation for music give Jin the props he deserves. You may not know the technical words but you know what that man is doing with his voice and how difficult it is. Like when you pointed out how he went back into a soft falsetto after belting in chest voice like no other; that's fucking hard to pull off. I've seen so many people discredit him saying he's, "the worst singer in BTS." WTF?? That baffles me as a singer who knows that this shit ain't easy. Widest range in the group, great texture and richness to the voice, 2nd most stable vocally on stage and really fantastic vocal technique. His vocal coaches have said he's their prize student. He knew nothing about singing and had no interest in it in the beginning. And, today, he's #1 on the UK singles charts. His hard work is legendary.
Jin audition singing btw and he survived among 1000 trainees in company so he knows how to sing man + Only antis and who didn't listen to his solo would say that + Many said he is the most stable vocalist between members live and his live version is better than original version
I was there in the crowd in this specific concert (it was Osaka, Japan) and I tell you it felt like we shouldn’t even breathe because of how beautiful and powerful he sounded in the last part. we Japanese are quiet in general but the audience was literally holding their breath, and the cheer after that felt much louder than it shows in the video. I’m so glad you chose this live clip. Also, this is the first time I’m leaving a comment but your music reviews are my absolute favorite, not just BTS ones. You describe and explain everything so well, and make me want to explore more music.
Jin can belt like nobody’s business! BTS has some Japanese songs, and they are Jin’s forte! You should check out Crystal Snow. He hits a triple high note that is phenomenal, AND HE DOES IT LIVE IN CONCERT! Every one in BTS has very distinct abilities and yet they can all work together which you would not expect, after listening to each one individually. Btw, Jin was chosen for BTS because of his visuals. He did not sing or dance. He had to learn from square one! Also, I think that was Wembley Stadium. The Astronaut has a mv, and a live version he flew from Korea to South America to play this live with Cold Play in concert. He traveled 40 hours to perform one song! It was for ARMY just before he went into the military.
I have absolutely loved watching your reactions to BTS. You speak of authenticity? In my opinion, your multiple pauses and rewinds are proof of an authentic reaction from you. Thank you so much for sharing your impressions and opinions so metaphorically and vividly, and for your close attention to all aspects of song and performance. Parts of Jin's own psychological journey are also contained within "Abyss" and "Awake." 💜
epiphany is the song that made me army. I was in a pretty dark headspace, couldn't understand a word in korean, wasn't even paying attention, but this song came up and I heard the "I'm the one I should love" line and it's few times in life I cried as hard as then. To call it just a powerful song is almost an understatement for me
if i were to describe the vocal line this is how i would do it: Jin - power, emotion Jimin - pure, delicate V - soul, spice JK - versatility, glue that binds everything together all of vocal line can cover all the bases.. them together is just amazing.. For me Jin shines in their Japanese songs, hope you’ll get to it too.. Jin’s debut album “Happy” will be released on Nov. 15, “I’ll Be There” is its pre-released song. Awake is his first solo song in the BTS album, so you may want to check it out. The Astronaut is his “see you soon” song for ARMY prior to his enlistment in 2022. And I’ll Be There is like his i’m back ain’t never gonna be away again.. 💜
The translation: "to come to the end of the process of finding one's self means to return to the starting point what must be discovered in the end is the beginning of everything, the milestone, the map of the soul although a part of everyone it is not discovered by anyone, i will try to find it, starting now.."
This was my first comeback as an ARMY. I have lived my whole life with crippling depression from Bipolar (II) disorder and have never been able to love myself. When I first watched this video, I just sat in my car and bawled my eyes out. This song has the power to change lives. And "Answer: Love Myself " was on this same album. These 2 songs together have a message that people with mental illness like me need to hear. Why do so many older people love BTS? This is why. Also, anyone who knows the meaning of Awake can really appreciate that this song came from Jin. It had to be him.
I think Jin's voice really shines in ballads and in their Japanese songs. He's able to really get you in the feels. I love his voice in "Yours" from the Jirisan ost. I used to wish BTS would do more songs where they harmonise and layer up with each other more. Your descriptions are so vivid. Thank you! However long you need between reactions is fine. Good things are worth the wait.
Jin is a vocal chameleon. He often doesn't get the credit he deserves for being able to seamlessly pair with any of the members or provide shockingly wonderful background vocals. And protruding Ie. belting is Jin's bag. 💜
When you described Jin has a lighthouse, I almost teared up. I so appreciate your reactions to BTS. I love that you understand their messaging exactly thru different elements of their musicality. The shadowy vocals perfect interpretation of the lyrics into a very clear and piercing message of loving yourself. It doesn’t matter how long in between you drop BTS reactions I’ll always make it back for them. I trust and appreciate your genuine reactions to their music.
Jin and Yoongi (AgustD/Suga) solos almost always make me cry. Their music is heartbreakingly relatable. I think you should listen to Awake next! Hauntingly beautiful song. Gives me that old school Disney vibe in the beginning also lol.
To compare his voice to "a lighthouse" is perfect! I never really thought about it, but that's a perfect description! I love this, love your reactions 💜
You have to hear Jin's falsetto in Come Back Home! Also, Yours is a great song he did for a Korean drama, then there's it's definitely you, which is a duet with V, then of course the triple high note he hits in the ot7 song Crystal Snow. Also, there's a scream in Dionysus that I thought was a guitar at first, but it's Jin!
Lol, I usually pause and return to the beginning of Come Back Home a few times before proceeding to the rest of the song. Jin's voice in that is unbelievably ethereal. Don't forget the high note ad libs in Run BTS - the BTS doco in Disney+ showed us Jin beginning to practice it.
@@KootchLB Run BTS was the other song that instantly came to mind too. And I still can't believe he pulled off that incredible high note with a sore throat in Busan.
This song changed everything for me, this song saved me at a time I didn't know I needed to be saved. I cry every time I hear it for my past self I never fought for, and the future self I'm inspired to fight for. This is the song that made me ARMY!
One thing i love about this song is that, it really shows how someone is feeling when they get an epiphany, from how he sang the first verse, and how different it sounds in the chorus when he finally has that realization of self-love. this is more emphasized during his live performances, before the bridge there's a part where everything stops, the lights are out in the stage apart from a single spotlight on jin, and he softly sings "i want to love in this world". afterwards, we get a series of his vocalizations which to me represent the feeling of wanting to scream, of joy and anger and sadness, that raw feeling you get after finally having an epiphany on a situation. and the fact that jin's silver voice just does this song so much justice is the cherry on top!
Korean swing is so true. Jin is known to have the best diction among BTS when it comes to speaking (Korean). They say it's partly thanks to him majoring in theatre and film during college.
This is the song that struck me like a ton of bricks. It's how BTS found me. It's a lesson to learn how to love yourself first. I've struggled for a long time with that. I'm 53 and Army since March. I always cry during this song because it hits my heart so hard. Thank you for covering this and all the other members and most of all the music. It sooths the soul.❤
Jin’s live vocals are really a backbone in BTS they are do string and stable. He’s got stage presence for days with just a look. I can’t wait for his first full Solo album next week!! He’s the oldest who taught the others to fund joy and supported the 6 younger members in so many ways. Jin being back is so important and he’s worked non stop giving us content.
I do find that the vocal line is well-balanced. Jungkook guides everything well, and as you say, Jin is a backbone, a firm pillar usually providing stable and solid background vocals. And Jimin and Tae have such characteristic tones on opposite ends of the spectrum, spicing things up.
@@halane4790this is a great description of their usual roles. It's a great way to use all their strengths together. One of the fun things about their solo work is seeing how they use their voices outside the group.
I love your deep appreciation for the vocal talents of our beloved BTS members. I think Jin has the most consistent vocals in BTS. He has such power behind his vocal ability that is always "consistent" that is the word that comes to mind for me. When he sings he has the ability to peirce your inner soul to get right to your emotions everytime
Jin, the boy hired for his looks, already 20 years old, and no singing or dancing experience. But it was more than his handsome face, it was the authenticity of his presence. When he looks up from the bottom of the staircase in Spring Day, who else could do that? He worked so hard to get his skills, 3 hours alone in the studio after or before rehearsal. (I have been there too, and that is what it takes) When I first followed BTS, Jin had very few lines. Now seeing him take a song which risks being a bombastic stadium song that a normal belter might flatten, and make it into this undeniable lighthouse through his vulnerability and commitment, is so moving. Thank you so much, #gameboyy310, for sharing that experience with us this morning.
Your words hit me hard. Thank you for describing this song & his voice as a lighthouse, light cutting through the stormy sea. Because this song is what makes me an ARMY man. 💜 Jin's light has saved me from an abusive relationship by, "I'm the one I should love in this world, the precious shining me. Not so perfect but so beautiful. "
There's a version when you can hear the whole crowd signing with him and it brings me to tears every time especially when I've hit rock bottom and I need a reminder that it's worth getting back up on my feet.
I 100% agree with you, that line about soul "not so perfect but so beautiful" it tears me up everytime and i know everyone relates to that line. Jin has a very stable chest voice and he switches up his tones very smoothly which adds to his magical and emotional voice. He is the silver voice of korea for a reason.
You talked about his Korean accent and authenticity. It reminds me of someone saying that for a new learner, his Korean is the easiest to understand coz he speaks with clarity and emphasis. I hardly know any Korean, but when he speaks, even I could catch a lot of it😂
As baby army (1-year), the first time I heard this song g I cried my heart out. The lyrics combined with Jin’s emotional vocals had me in a fetal position on the floor. Still today as I watch this I am choked up. The whole “Love Yourself “ album trilogy hits my heart in a very life changing way. Thank you GB, my daughter and I watch your reactions over dinner, helps us bond and laugh and cry. You have something special about you. You genuine words are impactful, love you keep going ❤
The text at the end of the MV says: At the end of my journey to find myself, I’ve reached the same place again. In the end, what I need to find is the map of the soul, the start & sign for everything. Something that everyone may have but not anyone can find, I’m going to try to look for that from now on.
70 year old silver army Nana in New Zealand. I adore these guys... I can't find the words to describe how they make me feel listening to them, watching them perform.. You have me listening to music in a different way. It's like you said earlier on... you've heard the song, but you weren't listening. You have me LISTENING, and I have tears in my eyes because I hever thought music would affect me like this. Thankyou. Sending greetings from a new subbie
Jin is the only member that had gotten a standing ovation from the Japanese fans. It is said that this is rarely given. The Grammys have given him the tilte of silver voice.
I remember when it came out, swaying to the music, then feeling the lyrics but it wasn’t until the concert with 30k+ people all singing “I’m the one I should love in this world” that I started crying. I think that was the first time I told myself I loved me.
"a beam of light" is such a lovely and accurate way to describe jin's voice, he really can light some dark cloudy places when he sings and i'll always appreciate him for it btw, i love the way you see music and give us mental images to ride along your experience, it's also so nice to see, not just watch, this channel is easily one of my favorite notifications 💟
I believe that Epiphany and Awake really showcase Jin's voice and as you said, he has the ability to come in soft and ethereal and then hit you with that crystal clear power like the Liberty Bell.
The live stage is from their concert in Japan. Japanese people make effort to not bother others, so they stay put in their chairs. However, once he finished this performance, they gave him a standing ovation. The other standing ovation he's gotten was for his performance of Awake. He's the only member who's been giving this honor by their Japanese audience
Its like hes in a confined echoey place talking to himself ( layering) then through the door and feelings and everything bursts free. ARMY often think Jin is underutilised as he holds his power and capabilities back to perfect the mix in BTS songs. He said he was never interested in singing until joining BTS( whilst at the prestigious Kontuk University studying theater, and film acting and production) and we know he has had the most intense vocal training of all BTS, that he found really hard. One amongst 3 other brilliant vocalist Jin does not seem to give himself the credit he deserves even though RM and Suga have both told him that he has set the vocal range of BTS. Even Jungkook who is a widely acknowledged a genius vocalist has cursed Jin because of how high some BTS songs go and high notes are really difficult when dancing. Jin can achieve a perfect sweet clarity that can be heard most often in his songs in Japanese. But his acting background means he perfectly embodies the emotion of songs. It is from his influence that BTS are so facially expressive whilst singing and their live performances are so believable. They always seem so sincere. It is one of the elements now copied by the younger generation of Kpop singers but was often the one element missing before BTS. When idols sang beautifully and danced expressively but faces had minimum engagement. Critics call him Silver Voice and his songs are extremely popular in Japan.
He is the visual of the group and his look is considered the most desirable in South Korea. Jin is such a positive person and has a personality that the variety shows like. When he's asked a question, he answers it honestly. This song has saved so many ARMYs lives. Why BTS has become a global phenom is because of the songs they write. They have gotten songs from other writers but the ones they write are so honest and, to me, are the best. Gosh, darn it, don't make me cry! He sounds so much better live. They all do. He has a very stable live voice, don't you think?
I'm so happy you finally met Jin! First things first, good to hear you are doing well! No need to apologize for being busy, life is like that. And pls, go back and rewind as much as you want and need to. You taking your time, pointing certain things out or wanting to pay attention to certain details is part of the charme and very much appreciated! The thing about BTS, no matter hiw upbeat or poppy the song, no matter how extravagant their outfits, mvs or stages are, there's always always always something hidden in their lyrics, a message or truth they want to convey. And when you hear them talk, you know it's all coming from the heart. As for Jin... aka Silver Voice, Worldwide Handsome, Mr Triple Highnote, fastest rapper in BTS.... he is one of a kind. 😂 His vocal range and ability are amazing, and he worked really hard to get there. Looking forward to your reactions to his other songs, no matter which one is next! One thing about The Astronaut (life with Coldplay)was his way of saying 'goodbye for now with a reassuring smile' before he left to join the military. That was his very last performance before that, and he flew across the world just for that performance. And I'm really looking forward to you watching Suchwita! Since you enjoyed the MiniMoni interview, I'm sure you will like Suga's show too. It's a good show and you'll get to know them and their dynamic even better. You may not know this, but every now and then the vocal line joins or takes over rapline songs / solo songs and it's glorious 😂 . Since you already know Ddaeng... that's a good one to start!
It’s interesting that you described his voice as clean. I saw an interview where he describes his own voice this way that he’s trying for clean vocals. Also, I love your description of a lighthouse that is a perfect description of his voice a powerful beam of light cutting through the darkness. He has a wide vocal range and many people mistake his voice, in its higher registers for Jimin. He has many crazy, amazing notes in BTS songs. He really stands out in Dionysus and Crystal Snow.
God damn... I absolutely LOVE your reactions! Someone who can truly appreciate their music. BTS has it all. Rap line, vocal line, group OT7, and the 7 solo artists. All are so different from each other. Even mix and match group up songs, like RM & JK, Jimin & V. It's just endless. They are the most diverse group I have ever come cross in my 60 yr old life. Borahae 💜
You need to see The Astronaut's live performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the River Plate stadium, alongside Coldplay. Jin traveled 40 hours to be able to perform that song before entering the Military service. Argentina Army had to learn the song in less than 24 hours to be able to sing it with him. 💜🇦🇷 P.S. It was the best day of my life, because I was there 🥹💜🫂🇦🇷
Tbh you are the only reactor I watch. I like how you genuinely give your opinion and even give professional musical knowledge. That makes me appreciate both your hard work and theirs. Thank you so much for being real unlike other reactors who only want views. Your professional explanation makes me truly admire how much of genius they are. Please do keep us more explanation like that. Looking forward to more videos. Again thank you it's not easy for us Army's to trust many people.
Mannnnnnn I've been trying to describe Jin's voice for YEARS. I understand the struggle! I always say Jin's voice is CLEAR as a lake, idk if anyone will get it, and clear sounds like an underwhelming adjective, but its CLEAR! As a lake! But it has BODY you know. Its a solid voice, like idk how to say it more. Jin's voice is clear, solid-bodied, like it comes from the chest.
I genuinely love how much time and effort and attention you have put into getting to know BTS as every member individually and I look forward to your reactions to more of their group songs.
I am enjoying reading the comments here. I have heard a lot of stories about how BTS's songs helped them been through their hard time, especially Jin's Epiphany. Personally, my life is not that dramatic, but BTS songs do help me love myself and speak myself. I would say i have became a more confident person after i met BTS. I was so against of Korean boy brands, but they are different. Their musics or words are always here, it just need a right time and right place that u find them or they find you, then u just fall into this rabbits hole. Namjoon once said "please use BTS to love yourself"
Seokjin voice goes straight into my heart. He puts all the emotions in his silver voice. And his registry range is crazy too. He loves soft rock. Can you believe how excited we are about his album next week??
You saying: " this is speaking to me right now!" is absolutely relatable to all ARMY. We (ARMY) have a saying that goes: "We didn't find BTS, BTS found us". Meaning that we heard a BTS song at a point when we needed to feel heard, relatable and/or comforted. In your case, you're going through something personal right now that made you say what you said. This is the power of BTS. They've literally changed lives as well as saved lives. That's one of the many reasons why ARMY loves BTS. BTS makes ARMY feel like we're not the only ones going through the stuff that we're going through....they also have gone through our hardships at some point. They make it a mission to let us know that they will go through the hardships right along with us so we don't go through it alone. They have songs for every moment in life (good or bad). Spring Day is a song that mended my heart when my mom passed away 3 years ago. Spring Day is still a therapeutic song to me.
Jin would be so happy to hear that his song brings you comfort! Like most of us here, BTS songs make us feel seen and heard, and some days make the worst days bearable. Hoping you feel the same as well when you listen to their music
THE ASTRONAUT is in his lower register. Jin called Chris Martin and said he needed a goodbye song for ARMYs before he goes into the military. Jin flew all the way to South America where Coldplay were having a concert. He sang the one song with Chris and the performance was so sweet. The music video has a sweet story too. They all have the sexy ass stare!
Jin was recruited for his look. That is why in the early days he was known as the visual of the group. Over the years he has worked extremely hard of his vocals and his dance performance to be on par with the rest of the group.
U know a perfect example that shows how each member blends in beautifully is “Let go” “Crystal Snow” & “Dis-ease”. I feel like these three specific songs really shows the difference ranges in each vocalists without overshadowing each other. Then you get the rapline’s ability to still switch cadence and ride the beat… and it is all blended beautifully. I really hope u add this to the line up when you go back to the group performances.
When you described Jin’s voice as a “lighthouse,” it made me realize why I was always drawn to Jin’s solo song “Abyss” when I was lost in life. I just stumbled upon “Abyss” on spotify. I gave it a listen without knowing the lyrics or context of what the song is about. I didn’t even know who is Jin at that time. Listening to his voice and letting myself immerse in his music gave me hope and a sense of direction in my darkest moment just like how lighthouses guide sailors through the night.
A lighthouse. Yeah, that sounds right. His voice breaks through every cloudy day or cloudy heart to bring in a ray of hope. Jin's voice always makes me choke up. The power of it, especially when he goes all out is amazing. And yes his dramatic death stare is so funny especially once you get to know him.
Jin has the ability to transmit a lot of deep sentiment, but at the same time he has songs that are so fun. He loves simple music, direct, that gives happiness to people. The first time I heard Epiphany I cried like a baby, and with his latest song I’ll Be There I just experienced joy
Literally its very hard to express how he sings in words when you describe the emotions you feel through the song it gets hard to describe .....you truly want to express but you can't.... that's when you know how impressive it is❤
Jin excels in BTS's Japanese discography bc his voice fits Japanese songs. And if you listen to their song Dionysus, pay attention to the background "scream". That's Jin. He also shows his range by flipping straight from lower register to high one the next second at some part of the song.
Thank you for your reaction. Penetrating, soaring - yep, that's the silver voice right there. Jin got a standing ovation from a Japanese audience for this performance. Thank you for reacting to this now and reminding us that our vocal prince rules. All the members have distinctive characteristics to their voices, individually and together, they are beautiful and heavenly.
A lot of ARMY use bells as a metaphor for Jin’s voice which I think is apt. Not only is his tone so crystal sharp, but it resonates through the body like those big tower bells. I don’t remember if you’ve already reacted to the group’s song Dionysus, but Jin hits both the highest note & lowest (not Tae!) in that song. You can see it in their live performance, especially at MMA 2019.
I can't wait til he watches theat performance. Someone tell him to set aside 2 hours, he's going to be stopping so often! I can't wait to see his mind blown.
Taehyung sang the lowest notes in Dionysus at the start, then Jin sang those lines for the rest of the song. Taehyung and Jin have the same vocal density and in the lower registers may sound alike.
Raise your hand if you've ever cried with Epiphany. I'll go first 🙋🏻♀️
Man!! It almost got me😂
You were saved by the pause and the stare 😂😂😂... Some of us weren't so lucky. My recommendation is Abyss, a gift for army.
Everytime
i’ve cried a lot of times.. i 1st heard this during a time that i’m struggling so it always brings me to tears..
💜
Fun fact: Jin reeeally wanted that purple hair you liked but the stylists said no. So he did it himself in their hotel against the company's wishes and it became one of the most iconic colours he's ever had. 😂 Not a first for him either - he's kinda known as the rebel of the group when it comes to the company. That's when we say it's JinHit Entertainment instead. 🤣
💜
That is true!!! I love him!! ❤
I struggle to find words to describe Jin but I always think Jin soars through the clouds when he sings.
Exactly that…agreed
It's hard to believe that he started training in singing and dancing two years before his debut at the age of 19!

Also the purple hair, he's actually the one who dyed his hair purple and posting it was a failure.
But that purple hair perfectly suits him.
Also, Jin might not look like it, but he's also the funny guy in BTS and surprisingly he's also the eldest.

Title of SILVER voice by the Grammy Academy. Triple note in Crystal Snow, he also rock in the lower register. 7 incredible artists.
I love his low voice in Dionysus! The triple note in Crystal Snow is amazing!
@@linettetatupu4 RIGHT?! Tae always gets the "lowest voice in the group," but then Jin was like, "Wait. Hold up!" on Dionysus. LOL.

If it's a Crystal Snow live performance reaction, it needs to be the fanmade MV where he isolated the segment of Jin's verse before and when he hit the triple high notes!!!!!!!

And fun fact: That "piercing tone" in his voice - it physically impacts something in my nervous system so by using his voice as sound therapy I was able to cut my pain medication by 2/3, thereby adding years to the point where they'll stop working for me (painful progressive illness). Never found that in any other voice. 🤯
💜
So glad you found this song and BTS and is still here 💜
@GwenReue Thanks. Me too. 😄💜
So happy to hear how it impacted you, especially the last part.
@@mochiluvr6753 It's a once in a lifetime thing for sure. I'm really happy you got out of your bad situation. 💜

I will always love BTS for how often they make a whole stadium of people promise to love themselves 💜
I would be weeping, and singing at the top of my lungs! Im so happy you could be there!💜
I'm one of those people who hate when the crowd drowns out the singer, so I was dreading this when I attended the concert because I had seen footage of the shows before mine. BUT I have never experienced anything like 45,000 people singing "I'm the one I should love. " It was amazing. I cried and sang my heart out and was so glad we were all singing together.
Was thinking about ya and wondering how ya've been.

True that 💜
It's so refreshing to watch someone with a true appreciation for music give Jin the props he deserves.
His low register in dionysus, oooooof😍
Jin audition singing btw and he survived among 1000 trainees in company so he knows how to sing man
+ Only antis and who didn't listen to his solo would say that
+ Many said he is the most stable vocalist between members live and his live version is better than original version
21:58 purple hair he did it on his own 😂😂😂😂😂 he said it was failure but it's one of the most iconic hair color he ever had.

To call it just a powerful song is almost an understatement for me
My man doing his thing. Love your reactions. Much love from South Africa.
Big ups to SA💚💚💚🙌🏾
if i were to describe the vocal line this is how i would do it:
Jin - power, emotion
Jimin - pure, delicate
V - soul, spice
JK - versatility, glue that binds everything together
all of vocal line can cover all the bases.. them together is just amazing..
Agree, esp on Japanese songs like Crystal Snow
I would also add - JK has the sweetest voice.

The translation:
"to come to the end of the process of finding one's self means to return to the starting point

although a part of everyone it is not discovered by anyone, i will try to find it, starting now.."
I had major depression for almost 45 years. The two songs you mentioned, I have lyrics tattooed on my arms from them for much the same reason.
Truer than true 💜😘
Jin is a vocal chameleon. He often doesn't get the credit he deserves for being able to seamlessly pair with any of the members or provide shockingly wonderful background vocals. And protruding Ie. belting is Jin's bag. 💜
Describing Jin in this song as a "lighthouse" is SO SO fitting. That's exactly what he is. A lighthouse to help ARMYs who have lost themselves.
The way I was sooo happy to see you doing the live reaction as well. Its just sooo good.
Trueeeee! I paused to think about that after he made that comment 💜
His falsetto in Come Back Home is everything! It makes you want to become one with his voice and float through the ether.
That's why he's my bias. When he sings, it's like a laser beam that pierces through your heart.
I wept the first time. I was in my 50's too. It hit me so hard. Truly WAS an Epiphany.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Jin’s live vocals are really a backbone in BTS they are do string and stable. He’s got stage presence for days with just a look. I can’t wait for his first full
Solo album next week!!
Moon, Awake, Yours, The astronaut, I’ll be there, are all fantastic solo songs by Jin!
yay finally, hope you can check out awake next! and Jin's releasing his first solo album soon
I cannot wait for you to see the whole group sing Cold Play’s Fix You.
I love your deep appreciation for the vocal talents of our beloved BTS members.
I think Jin has the most consistent vocals in BTS. He has such power behind his vocal ability that is always "consistent" that is the word that comes to mind for me. When he sings he has the ability to peirce your inner soul to get right to your emotions
everytime

The text at the end of the MV says:

Jin’s vocal stability is no joke, he sounds EXACTLY like the studio recording EVERY 👏🏻 SINGLE 👏🏻 TIME 👏🏻
TONIGHT is my fave song of Jin. He wrote it for his pets and I think it's his rawest.
yessss.... best BTS song, in some ways. Nothing else is on that exquisite level of living the bond between human and nature.
"a beam of light" is such a lovely and accurate way to describe jin's voice, he really can light some dark cloudy places when he sings and i'll always appreciate him for it
btw, i love the way you see music and give us mental images to ride along your experience, it's also so nice to see, not just watch, this channel is easily one of my favorite notifications 💟
Beautifully said!
Epiphany has a special place in my heart. That song took me out of a very dark place. I love it and I'll love it forever.

Jin's voice is clarity, a beam of light. The Astronaut is my fave.
I really wish they would give Jin more singing parts in the groups songs.
Jin would be so happy to hear that his song brings you comfort! Like most of us here, BTS songs make us feel seen and heard, and some days make the worst days bearable. Hoping you feel the same as well when you listen to their music
My favorite of Jin is an OST called “Yours”… it’s just heart punching ❤
Thank you for appreciating Jin! He’s not just a handsome face but his vocal range is so versatile! Much love from NorCal!
This song pulled me out of a depression so deep I didn’t think I’d ever recover.
He got a standing ovation. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. Do a vocal line song HOUSE OF CARDS and TRUTH UNTOLD.
He did the truth untold last year
THE ASTRONAUT is in his lower register.
Jin is the Grammy acclaimed Silver voice! I love his vocal tone the most 💜
Vocal Line in my opinion as a voice teacher:
Jin - Stainless Steel
Jimin - Crystal
V - Velvet
JK - Gold
EPIPHANYYYYYY the song that started it all for me. I love Jin so much😭💜
