Turned out to be a great exercise for rehab 10 weeks after both a L1/L2 and a L5/L6 micro discectomy. When rehab started my hip flexors were so tight my hips would not move and rehab just put more pressure on an already sore right knee. (I developed a torn meniscus and a Baker's cyst from the back problems.) After trying a number of PT recommended exercises nothing was working, my knee hurt more with exercise and I was walking like a person 20-30 years older. I saw this video on the internet and tried this exercise. Literally in two days, I was feeling incredibly better and walking with an almost normal gait. Well taught and clearly illustrated. Thank you very much!
