same here ! my daughter, 26, walking behind me and going everytime: “omg mom seriously why are they always flying ? it’s ridiculous!” and me saying “you just don’t understand. come here and sit!”. being a good girl she sits and watches and sometimes doesn’t get up 😂

Oh yes, you picked up the best of the best. I got hooked on C-dramas (with an occasional K-drama) during the Covid time. It seems they became my preference. But it is not only the costumes, the actors performance, choreography and filming that is superb, it is also the story lines and the characters backbone that is captivating. Through these dramas I discovered my interest in Daoism, Buddhism and martial arts philosophy. You could say that I developed interest in self-cultivation. Now and then I listen to podcasts from Shaolin Temple Europe, a great resource for those wishing to get acquainted with Buddhist meditation, Qi Gong, and introduction to discipline through martial arts. Now I can play xiao flute, maybe not profoundly, but I can string a tune out of it. I wish could get a Guqin or Zither instruments, but they are quite expensive. One day I will. And I am dipping my toes into Mandarin, Japanese and Korean languages on Duolingo. Which is fun. And I am also occasionally detour into Chinese Anime/ Donghua.

Amazing! so beautiful 😍 Fangs of fortune was the hardest series to watch for me because I always watch chinese series alone but the Cinematography was so breathtaking that it pained me not to be able to watch it with someone and share the beautiful emotions that it gave me. My daughter did watch 4 episodes with me and it was great but she lives far away so I had to continue by myself. wish I could share the beauty of C-dramas with everyone around me but here in Montreal it’s really not popular and mainly unknown.
