I really like this design but Cali Raised does not make them for my 2006 Tacoma. The setup underneath seems very similar to that of a 3rd gen tacoma though
I have installed mine with their new design and it was so easy. And I just hand tight everything back 😂. I hope I didn’t over-tight them lol.

Does the new design appear different from the shields installed in this video?
@@badmaxx It’s the same but you don’t have to insert the 2 holes on the back side. Just loose the bolts a little bit on the front side and just tuck it in and tight it. They have new video on their website how to install it.
Yeah, Unfortunately they sent us an old version to do an installation video on right before they changed the design.

What do you recommend for a 2004 4x4 first gen 4cylinder Tacoma? I don’t think anybody makes kits like this for them. Just those ones where you wrap cables around them. Always scared of mine getting stolen. They wouldn’t even need to jack it up.
If you're handy you can make your own. Use these as a guide on how to make them fit. Or make a skid plate that covers the whole bottom section by the cats and bolt it to the frame. I'm sure you could make something work.
Hire a thief to test them.
The manufacture can do that test.
Wouldnt they be able to cut this with a saw zaw
The shields are made from stainless so they would be a bit more difficult to cut through. Also, this would take more time and make more noise so the hope is they just move on to an easier target.

Just installed on my Tacoma. mine attached to the engine side of the transmission cross member not the back side.... is this a different design?
Might be a newer design. The 4Runner one we installed is how you explained.
It’s a new design and it’s easier to install than the old design.

@@katfi5h Nope, is not touching and it’s very tight once installed, no vibration or anything. They have improved it.

I just ordered these for my 2023 Tacoma TRD PRO. These don't void the Manufacturer warranty do they?
No, these will not void your warranty.

@@yotaxpedition i sent them email several times but they won’t answer if they are planning to make for manual transmission or not. My other option is Miller Catshield, although expensive but quickly replied my question and even sent me a link for the particular catshield that I needed.
