  • Join me in our journey of growing Wambugu apple trees and other fruit trees and vegetables.
    An acre requires 310 seedlings.
Apples are planted in holes that are 60cm wide and 60 cm deep spaced at 3m by 3m (I chose 2m by 2m)for better growth. In each hole, 30kg of fully decomposed manure is mixed with the top soil.
Top-dressing is done six months after planting ,with 150g of organic fertilizer to boost growth.

Very much impressed. Which part of Namibia are you? I am also having sandy soil in my garden water is not lasting may be my mulching is not good. What types of leaves are in the soil you are using to trabsplant your Wambugu apples? I want to come and visit your farm for exposure and experience purposes if allowed.

I am addicted to agriculture.I am delighted to see you transplant Wambugu Apple seedlings correctly. I am interested in the progress of this apple farm and hoping for a bountiful firstfruits harvest. I observed some goats roaming in the background. You will need to protect your plants against them. Happy farming Kay.
