AHHH OK I’m freaking out over these outfits and i will tell you all why! So! When I first saw the white outfits, my mind immediately when to Ancient Greek style inspired outfits, and the reason for that is the details like the long fits of the dresses, the placement of the jewelry, and even the slits in the skirt, which would have been achievable because of the way the garments were tied. At first I thought it just be vague inspiration, and even doubted my assumptions due to a video calling them “white which” outfits. BUT this stage has fully proved they are most definitely taken from Ancient Greek inspiration with the somewhat more accurate elements. Some of these include the addition of more flowy elements which is something we definitely would have seen in historical Greek dress, and sowon even wears sleeves that come from a style of dress called the ionic Chiton, which was your average Greek dress but with sleeves that had slits all the way down to expose buts of the arm. One last thing before I end this large paragraph of a comment, as much as I praise these outfits, I know that they are not very accurate as they are a modern interpretation, but that being said, coming from someone who loves this stuff, I am such a huge fan. I especially love the obnoxiously buckled sandal shoes they have, they are not at all anything we see in history but they are so pretty. Overall, well done gfriend. And well done to any of you who have finished reading this comment.
