I saw this movie when it came out. Honestly, they didn't make too many movied like this back then either. People only remember the good stuff, and forget how bleakly unentertaining the rest was. We had Raiders aand ET, and a host of rip-offs of Raiders. We had The Thing (which people hated...because 1980's audiences were as stupid AF!!) and this.

The problem with the TV series was that it was a hard reset from the movie hence we get even “Rolling Thunder” later on (I heard on a Blue Thunder internet webpage that the TV series should have been called “The B Team”).
can't understan why this isn't more widely remembered. It has great sound and visual effects, a great scrpt, quotable lines, solid performances, and great action scenes, along with a great score by arthur rubinstein.
Amazing 40 years later it stands the test of time. Even though the tech is old it still looks good. the storry line is strong., ateong character performances.

I thought the TV series sucked. After seeing this footage I still stand by that. This movie has a lot more intrigue than I first thought.
