Would love to see how to do stuff like this with just paint. Although that plaid example at the end does help relieve a lot of stress in making the texture perfect. Wish I wasn't so bad at doing textures.
This was so helpful!!! I altered the method a little bit to make my own stylized hair texture and I think it turned out really pretty! This tutorial absolutely saved my life! I'm a bit late, but I can't thank you enough!!!
Almost 20 steps. More or less depending on how one breaks it up. (I'll be putting everything on separate layers until I see the finish.) >1: A base color (BC) >2: A shadow on the top and the bottom >3: A light across the center >4: Opacity >5: Lasso in a zig zag >6: Invert select >7: Fill with a darker color (gray) >8: Opacity til gray is a darker BC >9: Motion Blur >10: Big white over inner lasso >11: Motion Blur + Opacity >12: Add mini white highlights >13: Opacity + Smudge >14: A dark fade at the top >15: Linear Burn + Opacity >16: White fade at the bottom >17: Opacity >18: White across the center >19: Opacity
I take the original white hair the preset one when you open brood then I export it out into firealpaca then I make a new layer do my colour and what not and then I keep lowering the opacity to see how it looks then when I done everything I lower the opacity to where it looks good and then put it in vroid
Hey there, I'm totally stuck, I have a hair texture I made for hair, but how do I add ANOTHER Texture/Material for ears or two toned streaked hair? I can't find any "Add new texture" button.
On the right side when you are adjusting the hair materials there should be a duplicate material button, Do that and then you can add another hair texture
i did the same thing you did but when i use the texture i've made it just turns is back to the defult texture when i accually put down a strand but if i go into textures mine is there.
Hi, can I ask how do you make the inner layer of your avatar's hair blue? Is it a layer separated from the brown layer on the outside? I want to achieve that "2 different colors" type of hair like yours but don't know how to do it properly. Thank you!
I made 2 hair textures, they both look wonderful thanks to your tutorial. But I can only get one to work at a time. My current hair texture is black, but I also want a red streak. However whenever I import the next texture it overrides the first, even on different freehand groups. Help?
Okay so I’ve tried this, maybe it’s something I did wrong but when I’ve imported the file image (as a png) it’ll look like it’s in there, (like as one of its layers) but the hair never updated and stayed with the default texture. I was thinking maybe I need import the texture first for the hair before I create any hair but- idk, sorry if that’s not very well explained, but is this like a glitch maybe and can it be fixed? I’m just not sure why it’s not working for me. You’re tutorial is wonderful though and very helpful, i just don’t know why it’s not working for me.
either A you need to click on the hair texture layer and make sure it loads in there, or B your hairs need to be switched over manually to change the texture. ALSO the hair base wont change if you change the texture. They dont allow you to do that yet.
hell yes this is what I actualy struggled with for the longest time! btw fr WHATEVER strange reason... the last texture works actualy realy well as weird as it sounds XD
Hey Argama it's me Artsy. For saving the hair textures from Clip Studio Paint or Paint Tool Sai which files to I save it too? Sorry just kinda confused on how you saved the file is all. ^.^;
Anyone know how to get rid of the base texture ive been having this problem with mt vroid studio and so far I haven't been able to find anyone who has a fix for this help pls ;-;
Wait actually, how do you get the pure white base textures for your model? I'm trying to change my hair texture for my model but I cant get the highlights to go away on the model
if hub allows you to download a model it can only be used in vroid studio IF its a .vroid file (which my basics video on changing clothes explains where to put it). If you dont have the vroid you cant add it to it. I'm not sure what Reduce size of character to maximum means, so I cant help you with that.
@@ArgamaWitch i have saved the file with .vroid..it shows in my avatar as well after i paste it to the document>avatar just like you have mentioned in your video. but it is not just opening and about the size I am talking about the character size..How to make the character very tiny? i.e size of an emoji? is it even possible in vroid?
@@cryptoshiller8884 when adjusting the bars in Vroid, there is the number nearby that also changes. the base hair texture wont go away and my texture wont show up someone help please
you cant change the base hair texture itself, but you can turn it off.
As of the current version (not sure which version added it), you can now edit the base hair texture. I strongly recommend experimenting with it
