Screw what the haters say about this game. I love Final Fantasy XVI and I understand Clive a lot as I have been finally starting to overcome one of the toughest battles of my life.
This game gets way too much hate for being action-oriented imo. This is as Final Fantasy as it gets, and in the best way. Many people forget that for decades now, the devs always wanted to progress the series into an action RPG, but were hindered by the limiting tech of the SNES. This feels like a full realization of what classic Final Fantasy was always meant to be, and I love that! Also, the action combat itself is amazing! I'm fine with that being the standard for the main series if it means we get gameplay and set pieces like we get in this game. My only complaint is that I wish Square Enix fully brings back party mechanics for the next one.
@@chidorisnake22 so deconstructing all of the classic tropes of Final Fantasy to the point of shitting on them, forcefully injecting modern politics and Japanese disdain for Christianity at every possible moment, and ripping off other recent Final Fantasy titles is both "as Final Fantasy as it gets, and in the best way" AND "what classic Final Fantasy was always meant to be"? I get that the action combat is cool and all, but if you ask me I think it should be reserved for spinoffs like Kingdom Hearts while the core series remains with turn-based strategy.

no one's saying you can't like a game
even if that game is utter garbage

You know Active Time Battle isn't actually turn based right?
@@Carnyzzle I believe the concepts are similar enough. the order in which characters perform actions is based on speed stats, right?
