He's a phenomenon. He's a big enough lad (even though he doesn't look as heavy as he is), but the dynamism he produces when you add in his speed and agility is tremendous. He's harder to stop on the gainline than most of the game's giants. Incredible skills to boot. Kelleher is a very talented player too, but in his absence Sheahan has really outstripped him. Nailed on Lions starter if the team was being picked today. Ireland have struggled for really top class hookers since Jerry Flannery retired, but Sheahan is something we haven't seen since Wood. With Kelleher being pushed to match him, Ireland are very strong at 2. Your only doubt would be about his scrummaging.

From what I recall the scrummaging did look better at the end of last year from Sheehan, so hopefully he's got that part sorted now too!
