I’m currently fishing a very small water. I’ve been fishing it for around 3-4 months now and I’ve noticed this is how everyone on this water is fishing and catching maybe 2 carp at most. My last trip, I did a mix of boilies, corn, pellets and spodded it out on a tight area. Had 8 fish on a day session in this time of year it’s unheard of there. I think because everyone bags on waters like this, fish can get hungry and need a good feed. This is where a bed of bait can really work.
Used to catch them by the dozen out of there on a pole or quiver tip. Spodding is the last thing I would do and also pretty poor etiquette on such a small lake too.
Fascinating video but also far too too much lets con a carper to buy a ton of product to try and catch a fish! Everyone has their own tactic to catch Carp but seriously, most of the crap you put into your mix is a fraction of the price from a feed outlet and, for most, its just not needed! Crazy mixes being promoted to promote bait companies! Just not necessary!
If magazines, tackle manufacturers and bait companies can’t advertise their products on these vids how long do you think they would carry on making said vids. Making films cost money and that money has to be recouped somehow. If you can’t accept that then it’s probably best not to watch.
Brilliant Matt great tips video
Great video. Matt is a lovely fella.
Cool little venue. Fished it myself. Seems wrong to Spod on such a small
Lake.
I would go for a bag approach on a lake like that, I would also feed mainline cell 6 & 8mm pellets over the top
