hi, thank you for this, ordering the caliper. just to make sure i understand well i have to order the caliper and the mount. no need to replace the disk.
You don't need. But it is always advised to replace your disk when you replace the type of pads. No worries, it works fine without replacing the disk ;)
If you have these in stock over this wk end I’ll order! I’ve put around 500miles on my Ox now and the rear brake is just starting to become a pain in the arse👍🏻 Sorry disregard that as I’ve just found one in the U.K. for £83 thanks for the info though 3rd edit!.... I’m such an idiot 🤦🏼♂️ if I’d have only read all the comments here 😂 I ordered wrong one! 160mm post mount, oh well I’ll send it back right away. Back to original plan, if yours are in stock I’ll be placing an order soon 👍🏻
Little help from the pros. I ve got an EGRET TEN v2. The break is badly squeaking. Do we have any video which demonstrate how to replace the break pads, because I couldn t find any. Thx
Good video thank you but you should advise if this Caliper is a standard one for 160mm and 140mm or you need to purchase the specific 140mm size caliper? Online you can't find the TRP hy/rd post mount 140 mm. They are all 160mm . Please advise if the model is just one and you need to be adjust for the 140mm ( Inokim disk size) Thanks
Hello i hope you can help me... since i hacked the speed limit of my inokim ox the front lights wont switch on.. i hope you can give me advice... thank you in advance
I got this caliper, and mine SUCKED SO HARD I had to return it. The cylinders did not retract properly and the brakes wore out in 2 weeks!! I went with Shimano Deore M6000 hydraulic, hopefully it will last much longer. You can lock the wheel with your pinky with this Shimano caliper. Only issue is no motor cut-off function. I suggest Shimano instead of this one. If motor cutoff for you is absolutely necessary, maybe try the Zoom HB-870E instead. Those brakes seem to be on the Inokim OXO as well. This trp hy/rd in my experience was a dumpster fire. It could be an isolated incident, but I have to put this out there anyway simply because I was extremely disappointed by this product...
CrispyCucaracha it is definitely an isolated case... have you tried to bleed the calliper ? Why they didn’t exchange the calliper ? Of course any other full hydraulic brake will work too, the advantage of the hybrid is that you don’t have too change the complete line. I already installed Magura MT5e with motor cutoff, top notch stuff.
@@maximedanielli6667 I had seen someone else complaining about the arm not retracting fully, but I ignored it. I just switched to Shimano to be safe, now my OX braking is about 3 times more brutal. Locking the rear is too easy so I am scared to brake in corners. That is with 2 pistons. Your Magura is even more evil, because it has 4 pistons. I recommend hydraulic either way, this caliper is not really worth the money considering the Shimano full hydraulic is cheaper than the TRP HY/RD and out-performs it by a mile.
CrispyCucaracha that’s your experience. Mine is performing very well, as well as about 10x others I installed. About Magura: the huge difference is that you get a gradually braking power. They are really safe and extremely soft braking during 3/4 of the lever course and then become evil at the end of the course. In my opinion, that make them incredibly comfortable and safe to use.
Daniel Broshi We are waiting for the second batch of production before getting them in. Should be receiving them end August. If we have enough time, à vide by the end of September is realistic
@@MyMobelity I live in New York and just got the OXO few days ago.. it's a very powerful scooter. I'm very happy with him... I'll be waiting for more videos from you, I'm learning a lot from you..
Hey Nate. I've had one on order since seeing this on the Facebook group. It's the post mount version of the caliper. The rotor size is 140mm if you want to replace that but pulling the wheel is a bit more work, and most Australian dealers are out of stock on that size.
Ric F thanks Mate, ps didn’t know there was a Facebook group but I shouldn’t be surprised hahaha. Ok so the caliber that fits is for 140mm rotor. No need to increase the size as it sits low to the ground anyway and wouldn’t want it lower to get hit or caught up. How much did you pay? I see can order form chain reaction or wiggle for anywhere between 130$-168$ each
I paid $104 but ordered the 160mm rotor as I'll use it on my road bike and the cheapest I could find the 140 domestically was in the $160 range. Once I get it installed I'll post some pics of it and my tail light 😀 I only found the Facebook group a couple days ago myself. It's interesting to compare people's experiences with these internationally.
They are quite different size machines. The raptor is ideal if you need a small machine to commute. the OX better for long distances. I would go for the 2 has new Dualtron serie's has been launched.
@@MyMobelity you definitely right about that problem. the thing is that there's so many other better solutions than cut-offs. starting with a simple one, just a button to turn off the vehicle ? :)
No need, really. You remove the old caliper, put back the new one. If you really need some extra info, I have added a link to TRP instalation guide in the description.
I completed the caliper swap today and I am very impressed so far. Thanks for posting this!
Give us your feedback after a little while here ;)

Thanks this is super helpful. Did you need ANY adapter bracket or was that included with the new caliper?
You don't need anything. Be sure to buy a postmount caliper.

I have Inokim OX and have a question. Is it possible to swap ox front suspension arm to oxo arm and add hydraulic disc brakes to front wheel?
Any tips on where to order the correct version inside EU? Many places did not list the caliber size...
I don't really know, but we have shipped many wihtin Europe already. If you are interested, let me know via inf@mymobelity.com

Could I do this on Xiaomi M365 Pro ?
and for those who want a real brake, get yourself full-hydraulic shimano brakes. even the cheapest are good, but XT whould be the best for this.
Yes the HY/RD is tge easiest way to upgrade. If you want the best, we basically install Magura MT5e with motor shut off connection ;)
