Love Bjorn. Been a Soilwork fan for almost 20 years now. Its amazing how much awesome music this band churns out with all the revolving band members over the years. Dirk was sucha HUGE loss. In any case, I wanted to comment on the "greatest vocalist" part. Ive seen them live a few times now and my one gripe against this is - he has a hard time reproducing the sound on the record live. Its prob due to all the overdubs and layers they create of his voice. He just sounds different live. He sings almost operatic live? Low. But yeah, in general Bjorn has one of the best overall voices in modern heavy metal history.
@@jamesfredricks4908 yeah I have had the same. Went to see their tour of panic broadcast and loved it ofc, but yeah it was missing like back up vocals? I saw them again in 2019? Ish and the current guitarist does a sick job with his backup to almost recreate their recorded proformences.
He might be one of the most underrated vocalist in the metal scene. His screams and cleans are amazing, he knows how to write vocal melodies and all of that is hardly talked about except Soilwork fans. That's strange.
Years ago I walked into a record store because I wanted to buy a metal cd. I headed to the metal section and looked at all the covers but nothing really stood out... until I saw a hand holding a knife in front of a flame. I thought COOL and decided to buy the CD. Here I am 17 years later still jamming out to soilwork. You guys are the shit. Thank you!
Wow this is weird, exactly the same for me. I was in Camden Market (London) and I was probably 16 or 17 years old (35 now lol) and I was after a few albums but I came home with Stabbing the Drama and P.O.D’s self titled album. Was a great day. Also we need another Nuclear Blast All-Stars: Out of the Dark album man that was epic.
This song came out during a tough moment in my life. A moment where I questioned myself, my life, everything. I felt completely worn out, purposeless. I felt like a huge boulder was placed just above my chest, and it was crushing me with its weight. Then I stumbled upon this song. The atmospheric buildup that led me to Björn's initial scream felt so liberating. I found myself screaming at the top of my lungs along Björn's voice letting all my frustration and grief out in a single, powerful vocal emission, tears accompanying the effort of my body. This song is therapeutic and I could not be more grateful for Soilwork literally saving me in such a moment of distress and despair. I felt understood, after a long time. Thanks, Soilwork for dragging me out of a very dark moment. Den här låten har räddat mig från min Övergivenhet. Jag kommer aldrig att glömma det. Tack Björn, tack Soilwork.

Great song, I truly admire the fierce sound together with the beautiful melodies along with it. Man...there aren't very many bands (less than 5) than I impatiently wait for new albums from....Soilwork is FIRMLY cemented into that list!! This was fucking amazing!
What a journey Soilwork's whole discography is! I believe that Soilwork established their unique sound somewhere around 2001's Predator's portrait and taking their sound to so many directions over the years - experimenting, however not too far to an extend that their music would become unrecognizable and I deeply appreciate that. I can hardly wait for the new album, so much curious what direction these guys take next. It's a hell of a ride, a ride majestic...
I have never heard an album that sounds like A Predator's Portrait. The combination of Gothenburg style riffing and Pantera-ish groove with a solid-as-hell production/mixing/mastering job (the fuck is that first riff in Final Fatal Force? insanity, that's what!) and ridiculously great songwriting... Soilwork are truly one-of-a-kind.
also the solo section in Shadowchild (APP version) is ridiculous. It's definitely one of the greatest tradeoff solo segments in a song I've ever heard. The original version has some good shit in it that I don't get why they changed (since Björn was comfortable with cleans at the point that they re-recorded/re-tooled it, why did they get rid of his epic ending vocal part from the original and replace it with a boring fade-out?), but god damn is it so good regardless.

Regarding the drums sounding odd: I’ve been noticing that „weirdness of sound“ (for the lack of a better word) with a lot of the releases on TH-cam by Nuclear Blast and/or Century media. Amorphis for example tends to sound like their playing out of a toilet on TH-cam but on Spotify or Vinyl they’re totally alright

I long for unforgiveness
The words still never read
I seek the undetermined
The fluids never bled
So won't you bleed for me?

The wind and the rain keeps on shutting you down again
You've been waiting for so long

The scent of pure damnation
The force that pulls you through
You've had enough sensations
And now it's only you
So would you bleed for me?

Best video you guys have done in quite sometime. Loved all of this. Loved that you did everything practical too. This song sounds so epic and life affirming. Is there a release date yet for it? I cannot wait. You guys will always be my favorite band.
August 19th! 😁
Thanks for the kind words Sean! Was hell of a challenge to capture the essence of the song and translate it to the screen. 😊🙏#theactor #writer
Was here the 8 OCTOBER to see you in PARIS, i came for PERPIGNAN in south of france ! Soilwork forever !
AMAZING guys! Steelbath Suicide (yes showing my age here) was just the beginning for me. Can't wait for the new album......and maybe a US tour???
This song got me through blood clots and not being able to stand for weeks. Pure art.
This was such an amazing song/video everything together to watch... inspiring, uplifting, heavy and light at the same time.
I wish you guys had the recognition you truly deserve, your music will always have a special place in my life ❤️
A piece of Sweeden's finest. These guys really never dissapointed.
NOT A SINGLE BAD SONG EVER! Well done again and again!
Again and again and again and again. Pure musical high quality, incredible melodies. Amazing. I'm just speechless.
Absolutely incredible stuff coming from these guys the last few years.
Y E S. The masters are back in town.⚡️⚡️
No, my friend. The wolves are back in town 🤘
This is just soooo damn perfect. Ngl, Spotify sometimes helps you find such gem of musicians. Hooked to this and the others. Love from across the land and the seas. 🇮🇳
BEEN A FAN FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME. AND HAVE NEVER BEEn DISAPPOINTED. MUSICALLY OR WITH THESE SWEET ASS VIDEOS
And still 0 bad songs.
That's such a good point. Their albums keep growing on you as you focus on a different song.
the music video fit the song like a glove. Loved everything about it: the clothes, the landscape and the camera work. well done all three of you!
Thank you David🙏😊 Means a lot!
Thanks David ♥
Incredible, Soilwork sounding absurd as always!!
They're just so badass... Excellent video as well.

Soilwork never false to deliver!
Most consistent band I have ever come across!
Amazing song!
The DP of the video it's really great! Really loved the shots and color grading!
Thank you for the kind words David ♥
I've been in love with Soilwork since 2005 (when Stabbing the Drama saw the light of life)!
And, as everything in life, we must face some highs and lows, right?
With Soilwork i had the same situation: some good and some "not soooo good" albuns had happened..
But, no matter how good or not so good albuns they released, one thing remains the same:
They know how to touch the hearts beyond this illusiion.
Thanks a million, forever ❣
Very emotional song! And melodic but strong at the same time.
Greatness continues... and what a video
