Seeing all these small box games has me want to ask: would you ever do a list of possible small box or “backpack” games? Smaller games that are easy to travel with.
I watched this a few months back and bought it mainly because I thought it was quite affordable. Now, I have come back to thank you, because in the past months I've turned my living room into a war zone, my friends and I burned through approximately 200 rating pages, there is a score board on the fridge to shame anyone not holding the leadership in the high score and nothing can be done before playing another game of Ohanami. Strangely enough the only tranquil element about this game is the great card design, while playing I have heard things that would make sailors blush and violence was just one unlucky card away. Great game 100% recommend. Don't play with friends or in vicinity of blades or weapons.
I picked up this game a few days before this video and I wholeheartedly recommend this game. It’s great how you have to balance picking the colors you want with picking what numbers you want, while also trying to take the numbers/colors beneficial to your opponents. Depending on the stage of the game, certain colors are better, if you place a blue card in round 1, you’ll end up with 9 points for it in the end, but a blue card placed in round 3 will only score 3 points. Meanwhile a gray is always a reliable 7 points. And the pinks are very cool, since if no one is going for them, then you’ll gain lots of points from them. But if everyone’s going for them then their points will be less than the other colors, making you want to ignore them, a delicate balance. I really like the risk in skipping many numbers just to get the color you want, but that might force you to discard a card since you can’t place it. Not to brag but I’ve won Ohanami all 6 times I’ve played it, it just really clicks with my brain.
I recently picked up The Big Book of Madness, it is awesome. Please make a video review of it so I can watch you enjoy and/or hate it. I love the channel! Thanks for the entertainment.
Every single player has their three gardens in front of them, they’re not shared. If I see that the player to my left has a garden with the number 34 at the top, and I have the cards 35 and 36 in my hand among others, I might be incentivized to draft those to not let my opponent get them.
@@letsmakeit110 Lol why insult me for nothing? Your question is just assuming things that aren’t true, players aren’t building the same deck. The fact that every card is a different number means that every garden is different. Also the numbers at the top and bottom of each garden changes what every player can and wants to go at these ends.
What happened to the amazing comedy sketches, the never ending laughter, the chubby Asian guy making jokes we can all relate to? All we have now is him talking about board games
