Gojo was pushed to the brink here. He's mentally and emotionally unstable right after getting high. When he was high, he felt no anger nor hatred just pure mania, but when it all came down, he felt empty. I wouldnt call it gojo's "evil side". The cult was clapping for riko's death. Thats why he wants to kill them. Geto was 100% trying to convince himself that they shouldnt kill them. He was on the edge of the cliff holding onto his ideals. You can see his eyes going back and forth. Also another detail u probably missed, remember toji's worm crawling to geto? look at jjk 0 scene where geto is spying on yuta and inumaki after their mission and when geto pulled out the nunchucks against yuta 😂 the worm was with him.

I agree with you here. You could really argue that this was just a low point for Gojo, whom you could say was on a constant winning streak up until this point given how much of a god complex he had until he was really humbled. This whole arc is what really makes me like Gojo a lot. Also, good eye on the worm! I did not catch that initially. - Mikey

The music this season is great, that piano has been stuck in my head for days.

I agree on this immensely. While I am not reacting with the boys on this one, I am caught up and am looking forward to seeing more! - Mikey

It was Red that Gojo failed in episode 2. He does that here first and then does Hollow Purple on his first try...
Gojo's eyes at the end just indicate that his technique is active. There'll be a bit more to explain that in the next episode.
I think the thing with Gojo at the end is that he's asking whether they should kill everyone because in the state he's in he genuinely doesn't know (worrying, right?). As we've seen earlier, Geto has a set moral code and that's what he replies with -but with the growing blackness that's shown underneath him we see that this isn't how he actually feels.
PS: Oh yeah, if you're looking for details you might like to know that when Gojo says 'Throughout heaven and earth, I alone am the honoured one' he is using a famous quote by the Buddha. Earlier Toji refers to himself as 'a monkey who can't even do jujutsu'. As the strongest non-sorcerer on earth that makes Toji the King of the Monkeys...

This episode is for me the beginning of the separation between Gojo and Geto, due to their meeting with Toji. They both had the same experience, but came to the a different conclusion.
Gojo awakened to his full potential, his sixth eye strengthened and he understood the extent of his techniques and the cursed energy. The phrase he says about heaven is associated with Buddha upon awakening, symbolizing that everyone is equal. He also could see during his confrontation with Toji that cursed energy is not everything.
Geto is deep in his ideas. Having lost against a "monkey" as Toji calls himself (probably an insult he heard against him within the Zenin clan), Geto is lost and he clings to his convictions so as not to sink any further. Unfortunately, that's what's going to sink him even more, since this event demonstrated to him that this "separation" was unfair, humans being able to kill the sorcerers while the reverse is not true.
The final plan with Geto and Gojo separated, Gojo ready to kill everyone in the cult while Geto refuses can be seen as Gojo ready for anything and Geto wanting to protect the humans, but I take it personally in another way.
Gojo is ready to kill them because he considers everyone equal, Geto doesn't want to because he stays on the binarity Jujutsu sorcerer and not sorcerer. This idea of "them" and "us" is often what leads people to extreme thoughts, whether it's racism or anti-lgbt and as seen in the film, Geto has certainly become racist towards humans, aptly calling them "monkey" as Toji describes himself.
For me it's also why Gojo takes Maki and Megumi under his wing, to rebalance after Toji and that these events don't happen again.
