A lot of stereotypes are in the movies because of the producer want to recover the money he invested in the movie. Who even know there was a gem movie called Kadaisi Vivasaayi released around same time as Valimai?
As of now I think the movies with strong content can better reach the audience via OTT, and movies with mass heroes via theatrical releases.
The january releases this year is quite good example of audience are clear what they want, none of the movies were able to recover the money invested in the movies. Furthermore they didn't invest enough in marketing movies. It is a must for movies to be promoted, you can't win audience over just by flashing unheard awards to promote movies. Make aware that you are doing a movie from day 1 to the day movie releases, and even afterwards.

In indian movies they never give us basic logic about how a hero can do those over the top scenes for example Balaya. They just show these heroes fight 100 people even without proper training in fighting.

Bro, whether The Dark Knight movies are superhero movies or not. Velayadhum is a vigilante movie first and foremost. Mugamodi took the basic concept of Batman that is a highly trained human who fight against criminals. In general superhero means people with superpowers, but basically superhero means people who has abilities, training, courage and superpowers (or peak human condition like shaolin monks) can be considered as superheroes. If superhero means only about people with powers then Batman, Hawkeye, black widow, etc will not be considered superheroes. Man we tamil audience always confuses vigilante with superheroes movies. Vigilante is man who takes law in his own hand and act as judge, jurry and executioner. He is somewhat selfish. Whereas superheroes are almost always considered other people well being foremost.
