Exterior views of building. Interior Planning Department with artists working on designs for cars. Close up of one of the artists futuristic design. When designed a wooden mock-up is made. Two men inside the mock-up take measurements of the seating and interior room. Back to a picture of the design. Warm clay is used on the wooden mock-up to make a scaled model. When everything is complete the production begins and the bodies are built. A man welding the door frame, by hand. Components are made using machines. Engineers work on the engine. Statistics are recorded on sheets.
The assembly line and an engine is lowered into the bodywork of a car. A sign for the test drive circuit with no unauthorised persons allowed. On the circuit the cars are seen cornering and zigzagging on the track then going over rougher terrain. A car is put on a vibrating machine simulating wear and tear on the springs and shock observers. Seats are tested. On the test track cars undergo brake tests, with measured road markings, and a man stands on the track and observes.
