I believe that the old testament israel is a large picture of my walking with the Lord with all my stumblings into idolatry of self worship along with the false trinity. The world, flrsyh and the devil. However saying that I'm not living for those three as a lifestyle I fall into them at times. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us. - 1 John 1:6-10
@@elliot7205 Jesus called Daniel's 70th week a future event. A temple must be standing when Jesus arrives and defeats the A.C. @elliot7205 If I may offer my observation, Revelation 20 talks of Satan being chained a thousand years. If we believe history, Satan has not been chained yet.
The reason the NT is so close to the Torah in Genesis is it the same religion, Moses was to add sin, and Christ to forgive past sins in a way not available to Israelites that sin.
The three days reference is found in the Torah. It is in the creation story. The earth is without form and void, essentially dead, and on the third day, life comes from the earth in the form of vegetation. It is in the story of Abraham with the binding of Isaac. It is on the third day that Abraham lifts up his eyes and sees the place where he will sacrifice Isaac. He tells his servants that "We" will come back. Abraham believed that God would raise his son from the dead and it is on the third day. The third holy day metioned in Lev. 23 is the Feast of Firstfruits, which is the day Christ was raised from the dead.

Im getting a better understanding of how I can't do what God requires for me in my relationship with Him on a consistent basis because of indwelling sin. Hummm. Didnt Paul say that as well.
For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me. I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. - Romans 7:14-25
Hi, Elliot. Here are two of Jesus' statements that say the Gospel is for the entire world, not just first-century Israel: "Therefore go and make disciples of *all nations,* baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matt 28:19) "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and *to the ends of the earth”* (Acts 1:8) RLS
Isn't it amazing that Christians find Jesus in my Torah and Muslims find Muhammad in the very same book? While our holy prophets Moses in particular never got such information that Christians and Muslims claim to possess, It seems to be a simple task to add what you want whether it fits in or not. I Guess Mormons can also see Joseph Smith in the Torah one way or another 😊
Here we see the downside of trying to defend an error, of free grace to gain a relationship we are in control of, being already justified (saved). But Romans 5 is only justified or baptised into the church and covenant, so without the faith of Abraham we break the covenant and divorce ourselves from the spiritual church. As atonement does not save, but reconciles us into the church to come to faith. Jesus is the Mercy Seat in heaven judging those baptised into the church as we die.
The Torah was given to Abraham that it would be realised in his seed, in the amended version of the Torah given to Moses the seed was again prophesied as the Messiah, to qualify as strictly written in Deuteronomy 18:18. Moses set put the terms for the Messiah, as did Isaiah 53, though both Christianity and Islam misunderstand the Messiah, some Jews also missed that uniquely Jesus did comply with Deuteronomy 18:18. I have a Ytube video series 'Myths in so-called Christianity' covering many interesting topics.
If you believe Jesus is in the Torah you will believe in anything, even that men can have babies. The very beginning of the 10 commandments as you know it, says, "You shall not recognize the gods of others in my presence" what was the chief form of gods of Egypt? Human. I completely understand the mis understanding of whether Jesus Was the messiah, but whether jesus was god in human form or mentioned in the Torah, that's as confusing as believing, men can have babies. There is no argument in the Torah for that. There is only belief or argument if you already believe Jesus is god. If Christian's really believed in the Old Testament, the first and biggest part of their Bible, they would not believe in the New Testament. Personally I do not believe your prayers to Jesus are a sin since you actually beileve he is god. It's how you live that matters. The only thing you are missing out on is a better understanding of Hashem, his teachings, since your focus is on Jesus.

I agree...
You mentioned a verse in the Hebrew Bible that God will tell men beforehand acts. What is the reference?
The verse I was thinking of was Amos 3:7. “For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.”

Hi, Elliot. In my opinion the best argument against full preterism is the last three chapters of Revelation.
