Hi Nick, Bokeelia pier was actually open again, and had been for quite a while, when you visited - as you can see from your video the gates that separate the fishing area were recovered from the water, refurbished and put back in place. The pier area you mention with no guard rail is within the fishing section and has always been that way. If you are interested there's a live cam for Bokeelia Pier. Thank you for your video 😀

Thanks for checking out leona Lovegrove. I’m happy to see that the Homestead and art studio was not destroyed by the storm. Also, I watched your video on your spider encampment. Very interesting. I would assume you were talking about the scorpions on your excursion that you might have one of those caged as well. I am a graphic artist and photographer. Are you retired as you seem to have quite some time to do all these excursions. Again we were thinking about coming down probably around September. Do you live in Fort Myers? I work for a souvenir company as a graphic artist and photographer. There’s a guy named Traveling Robert whom I think you’ve probably heard of. If you have not, he is really good at marketing himself. He travels around in an small RV with his wife. He’s got hats shirts you name it he’s got it. You are pretty much in the same position he is, or does what he does. Our company does not represent him, however, it’s one of the largest souvenir companies in the nation, proud to say a high percentage of our product line is made right here in the United States in Indiana. However, all of our products are printed in the United States. If you feel like you’d like to pursue something like this to establish a brand, we would be glad to help as we do not charge for logos, etc. with the minimum purchase, which is very minimum to say the least. Anyway that’s about it. Thanks again.

I appreciate the info, I’ll keep it all in mind if I ever am interested in such a route for my brand.

Hi Mandy, we too are Brits (NE) and have wintered on Bokeelia for 10 years. The island is superb, love everything about it, especially the large public pool. Take good care 😀

@@ChaufeurseI have never been to the swimming pool, we did fish off the Bokelia pier but suffered did suffer from bites from no see ums especially at dusk, but great fishing pier which I think is closed at the moment. When will you be back out there?

Hi Mandy, the fishing pier has been open again for quite a while. Google Bokeelia Pier Live Cam to see the live cam directly on the pier, plus there are other xams dotted around 👍 I'm aiming to return for next winter, Bokeelia/Pine Island is our winter home and we love it! Can we send private messages from YT? Take good care, Chris

I wish someone would have videoed Matlacha Isles after the storm. I thin it is back to normal now.
