You can get a lot of other vehicles for that price that drive either better or same. And moreover, they don’t get a Kia badge at the front. I really don’t care about the lack of prestige but Kia’s depreciate quicker than you may think. Park it in the garage and you’ll hear dollars dropping on the floor every hour. You buy a $80k Lexus, you’ll sell it for 60k in 5yrs. Buy a $80k Kia and you’ll be lucky to get $35k out of it.
If you pay a little attention to batteries, which are key components of electric vehicles, you can understand why This car costs $80,000 which is cheap. But people don't have that much knowledge, so they only focus on the labels attached to the cars. If German cars come out with these batteries, they're going to steal two to three times as much money from your pocket. That's the most technologically advanced battery that's in this car
That is the top of the line . We got the light long range largest battery longest range because only 1 motor not 2.like higher trims . Getting 300 miles real miles charging to only 80% with lots of ac use . Very happy with this after 2. Months and 4000 miles . That trim is high 50 s after dealer incentives lease deals are aggressive Kia wants these out there .
Brother, I gave you thumbs up , but hear me out. you are driving GT but I do see your are driving in iPedal which is Regen 4 in uphill drive ? and when you really blasted the car you were still in Regen 4. I am not trying to prove you wrong, just sharing my observation. how I would drive is: starting from home , I would drive to Regen0 or 1 and as soon as I am approaching city traffic lights, from my left paddle shifter, i will go L2- L3 and right before red light, Regen 4 (i pedal). you really do not have to touch your breaks at all. it is a learning curve, I did but I use to drive my Maxima, MDX and Q5 on purely on Paddle shifter, i now totally control my Land EV9 through paddle shifter. so when approaching traffic or light, left paddle L1-L2-L3-L4 and when I stsrt from red light, from right PS, I go L3-L2 and if no traffic or upcoming traffic light I will go L1-L0, I also learned on expressway, I hold my right Paddle shifter and now my regen goes in to Auto mode, which is awesome. it will use Auto regen when you approach the traffic or car by itself. Also in Rainy day , I will not drive in ECHO Mode as, I think it conventional drive which send power to only 2 wheels, I would drive in Normal Mode and lock my 4WD which doesn't deduct any miles from range. Overall I loved your car. mine is Ocean Blue too, but I choose the light interior as I do not like black interior, it makes inside cabin too dark for me lol
I have seen a couple of these on the road and thought wow thats a really nice looking Kia, probably a great bargain ($50,000 max) considering its a Kia. Boy was I wrong. Might as well buy a Lucid at that price.
I want something that is familiar, so if I get electric ram I'll expect it to look like my ram I have now, but it's my opinion and I do also think some EV are really cool looking
People have yet to realize that other people are not paying 70k for this car at most people are paying mid 60's for at most which is a bargain and I'm considering getting one and I'm not into electric what so ever
Only a few are this expensive, most are in the 30-60k range, and with the tax incentive you can get 8K bumped off of that. This is the highest trim of this car, the base starts at 55K$ I think.
@@CalebTheFew06 But 60k USD for an electric car is already expensive! In Australia, you can get a practically usable BYD electric car for around 50k AUD, which is equivalent to 33k USD.

Nice dash
I’m a fan of the side cam makes it easier to change lanes
it's great to have those blind spot screens come on when you hit the turn signal and the digital rear view mirror when it's pouring rain
we can also press the camere button to have the front view
Very Nice Electric SUV👍👌⚡️🚙💨!
