- Fusion x XYZ, the two summoning mechanics I use most frequently come together for one festival, let's show them how Lunalights do it!

DISCLAIMER: There were some bugs during the battle phases of some replays on my end which continue to persist, and the bug has been reported to Konami at this time so crossing fingers that sees a resolution soon enough.

I didn't expect this to come out so fast. Lunalights have been doing really well for me too this event. I think a lot of people are seeing them and expecting beginners with the loaner deck because I've seen some questionable plays so far lol
Oh yeah I was going on hot streaks this event, this is a seasoned Lunalight player right here. Glad to see more people popping off this event with them.

Yes, they were using the Loaner and I needed the content. Decent duels were hard to come by 😔😔

Nice and quick work. I relay enjoyed watching. Me too played Lunalights for both events and I had a blast playing. MD this this month is realy fun, but next month ..... oh boy I already hate Ariseheart 😅Can't wait for the next video.
I didn’t do the Monster Type Event personally, I opted out of doing it to grind Ranked Ladder more (unsuccessfully might I add) but this was a fun little event. Not looking forward to Kash full power at all but we’ll edit the decklist when that time comes.

Btw I made KoG in Duel Links. I didn't think it would be possible but i did it! And Yellow Marten is coming off limited 3 so we can finally play 3 Bird and 3 Marten again, so im excited about that!

It’s definitely not fun when Rexterm hits the field but it can be worked around if you play with your resources carefully.

I’ve been using Lunalights in the King of the Island event (despite being a bit rusty with the deck) & intend to use them for the Fusion x Xyz event too. Oddly enough, Purple Butterfly has been a lifesaver multiple times
Forgive me if I’ve asked before but are the 2 Scheiren 100% needed for the deck?

Is Scheiren needed? Not necessarily, you can use Summoner Monk in her place but without FBG, she’s a great special summon from hand, a miller for extension and can proc Lunalight effs AND is a level 4 for XYZ plays. I personally prefer her over Monk as she does not waste your normal summon. Up to you though, I’m not the utmost authority on Lunalights haha.
@@royalvandyke I’m going to consider it although it looks like that might take awhile as the recent pack & deck upgrades (including Lunalight) did drain my UR points. If the next pack doesn’t have anything of interest then I’ll focus on more deck upgrades
Also, don’t sell yourself short. You’re the only person I know that gets to Masters with FUSION Lunalights
@@UltimaXVI yeah I got Scheiren when Tear pack dropped and didn’t dismantle it, worthy investment honestly, such a good card.
And haha the amount of new and returning Lunalight players on MD is astounding and while I don’t like to be arrogant or full of myself, I’d like to think I had a good part in that.

Will this deck work without tearlement scheiren?
i got all of the other cards ready and I am saving UR for Purrely
Yes it can work without Scheiren, you can use Summoner Monk in her place, it is about getting a special summoned body on field but I find Scheiren better since it does not commit your normal summon while Monk does
What were the changes you made vs your most recent MDM decklist? I saw papilloperative, armageddon knight, and a kaiju which I don't think were in the non-event list.
Obviously no underclock taker or burial goods, but what else changed?
Dropped Imperm for another Droplet and Crossout Designator. Otherwise you mentioned every other change. I thought about running Allure of Darkness which is why you see the dark Kaiju but opted out of doing so. Deck functions the same way basically.

@@royalvandyke I had to -1 droplet and +1 lightning storm. I've been getting 3 backrow boards and never drawing storm. Was driving me insane lol
@@Purin1023 fair enough, I didn’t try to fiddle too much since it was a chill event. I just liked Droplet for negates and to pitch Perfume or Serenade Dance if needed

Does this deck do well against Purrely ?
Ummmmm the answer would be no unless you specifically draw a Kaiju or the player hard core misplays but I’d say it’s the best deck right now anyways. You need to OTK it upon outing Noir or you risk them setting up another one.
Thanks. What are the outs exactly ? I love lunas but I'm on the fence with playing them on Master Duel with the new Purreely that seems extremelly OP. I guess I might play 3 heralds of the abbyss, but wondering what outs we have in the Luna engine. You're doing amazingly well though, and keep inspiring us all. @@royalvandyke
@@Delonge1820unfortunately we do not have any outs in engine. Sitting on Leo Dancer isn’t enough since Noir usually has more defense than we can run over. We have to run Kaijus to remove it or Books to prevent them for getting to Noir with Purrelyeap?! It’s a tough matchup right now in MD.
So i'm assuming sabre dancer useless?
Yes, you never run her if you want as competitive of a pure Lunalight deck as possible.
@@royalvandyke I'd still run one copy though, because sometimes using Lunalight Fusion to trigger up to 3 effects, one of which from the deck, can be relevant if you're needing resources, just like the way you run Schieren to trigger them from the hand, except with several matchups immunity to targetting effects can be relevant, plus the attack boost. But maybe I'm just too much of a 'pure' die-hard simp :) lol
@@LordLexand I'm going to personally disagree. Leo Dancer is the better card for its board wipe, and ability to avoid destruction and targeting. Most of your plays leading into OTK revolve around insulating your board to enable the one shot through negates, draw power and such. The ATK boost is very meager since Dugares does that much better and 3500 is better than a ton of boss monsters. Sabre Dancer's GY effect isn't even usable until the turn after it goes to the grave. It's just not a good monster, the stars are Panther and Leo Dancer for their respective utilities for enabling OTKs. I'm a purist at heart, but Sabre Dancer could have been much better for the deck or been another spell/starter.
