Hi jitendra! I don’t know if you are an ec3 owner, a general audience, or a part of citroen team but even we faced a similar problem with my friend’s eC3 here in bangalore when we were going to pondicherry on a trip. When we were dc charging, the car suddenly stopped charging and giving battery heating symbol on the MID. We had to wait for almost an hour for it to cool and to charge another 20%. LFP battery tolerance is about 55 centigrade. Dc fast charging a stationary not cooled battery under indian hot weather will easily go past LFP tolerance. Even Tiago and Nexon use Lithium Phosphate battery but they use liquid cooling. Also, tiago is a cheaper and smaller car. The only other car which doesn’t use liquid cooling in India right now is MG Comet. But that car doesn’t have dc fast charging capability, a normal ac charging will not lead to any heating problem while charging. Case 1: If it is HW, they need to add Liquid Cooling, not sure how possible to add it without affecting the cost
Case 2: I think there is a way they can limit the inflow of the current through HW/SW so they can avoid overheating the battery to have consistent charging
@@sdadmin3567 I would recommend to stretch your budget a little more and buy Nexon Prime base model, you will get a far better car… safety wise, size wise, build quality wise, battery cooling wise etc. If that cannot be done for some reason, out of tigor and ec3, with all the knowledge I have till now, I would still go for eC3. Tigor in my personal opinion should have been priced better. Citroen will have to sort this problem somehow and if that is SW, it might decrease the charging speed like you mentioned. Citroen has an mini suv lind of proportions, it has a single battery without compromising on spare wheel, it is better at driving dynamics, handling and it’s suspension is leaps better than it’s competition. Surprisingly, it’s touchscreen and speakers are way good too. Overall, the positives exceed negatives unless you include fast charging. I would compromise on fast charging because I use it very occasionally, provided I get all these features. I believe they would sort the problem, at-least they should solve it so that even though it decreases charge rate, it should not cut off the charging due to heat.
Very honest review
Beware, I'm not happy with ec3. Driven 100km and it starts giving dashboard errors, not moving then. Totally dissatisfied
Ok, Thanks for sharing.
I got ec3 only yesterday, when i received it was 50 percent and it was showing 78 kms, i drove around 55 kms and the remaining battery was only 11 percent, pls tell me whats happening with this
So 100 percent only cover 156 km ?
Well now i am getting 240 kms
@@sujeetkumarkc2656 1 % battery approx gives 2 to 2.25 km.. depends upon driving style. do not continuously raise.. but as you stated now that you are getting 240 kms.. then it is correct.
The predicted range is based on how to drive previously.
Its main problem in battery heating issue
Cost cutting from company
I wonder how brand like cetroen not hav this very basic common sense india has high temperature and dust theres no alternative to liquid cooling. I was sure to buy this car when they were testing it and news came out but once I got to know its air cooled I dropped ky plan. Air cooling is oky for motorcycle engines bcos they won't catch fire in any worst case but this batteries catch fire with slight mismanagement in system.
Common sense and citroen. If they had it they wouldnt have launched ICE C3 itself
Well explained...👍
Thank you 🙂

😍 😊
But he has covered 6000 km in 2 months.
This is will not support fast charging.
Viva chal raha hai
This car in petrol version has got 0 stars safety rating in latin NCAP
Final verdict : Just avoid citroen. Dont waste money. Tata is much better in terms of battery, parts, charging etc. also when you go for spare parts you will suffer with Citroen
When did you bought this 😂😂😂
